1952 Willys Truck....
It's been a couple weeks since I did this. I realize now I should have put a glass sealant between the rubber and the glass. I'm told fishtank sealant works well, but I don't know. My plan is to pull the rubber away from the glass with a thin puddy knife and add the sealant after I get it dried out well.

Hey Jeff Ok what are you showng me..?? i saw the glass in gasket outside truck .....the glass in place against the flange inside truck ... last thing i saw was finished windshield install..?? this video did not tell exactly step by step how to do this install .. i am sorry... but you really needed to record the entire process so people can see .everything ....from installing glass into gasket positioning the glass on the ledge ....pressing the center seam of glass in to "pop" the halves in place ...to lubricating the outside rubber edge and very slowly pulling the rope out to seat the gasket on the flange.... i do appreciate you taking the time to record and post this. Larry

Mostly just explaining how I did it and overcame the problems during the installation. I didn't have an extra set of hands to video the push into the hole but I tried to describe all the steps verbally. I know it wasn't great but its better than all the others I could find.. which were none.

I just bought a '58 and I think this will be the first glass that I change on mine. Changing it doesn't look too painful !! 🙄

@@huf67 Well good luck when you do. Remember to pull the steering wheel off first and dishwashing liquid on the gasket. easy peasy

@@CakayaqOfBethel ... Thank you !! I'm not sure I'll have to pull my steering wheel off or not. I have a steering column out of some Dodge/Plymouth vehicle, at least that is what is keyed. Plus it's a tilt wheel and the actual steering wheel appears to be smaller than what a factory wheel is. Time will tell though. Maybe I'll make a video of mine also.

@@CakayaqOfBethel ...I also have a different dash than what I've seen in any other Willy's. It doesn't look factory but it doesn't look backyard either.
