Cette magnifique Zlata Ognevitch n’a vraiment rien à envier à Lara Fabian ! Tu as parfaitement raison : Elle a une voix vraiment remarquable ! En ce qui concerne sa prononciation en italien je ne peux pas en dire grand chose si ce n’est que ça me semblait correct à l’oreille ! En tout cas elle a assurément suivi une très bonne formation classique pour pouvoir nous proposer une aussi belle interprétation ! Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonata, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and gave his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music compositions, mostly operatic, and different lyrics (the band Renaissance, Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance). But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version: it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in italian then co-wrote the english lyrics for it and is the original performer of these 2 versions. Il faut mentionner que la chanson Adagio était basée sur les partitions musicales du compositeur baroque/néo-baroque italien Tomaso Albinoni. La chanson Adagio chantée dans un style purement pop perd son essence pour devenir quelque chose de commun, sans personnalité.
