Rear U notch sites are great fast battle sights, but horrible for precision. These are definitely an upgrade for the oem sights that’s for sure!

GREAT upgrade, trust me!! They do make them in square notch too, I just wanted a good fighting Gun!!

This is what I call a Lose-Lose scenario for us. You wanted to see that, but we already did that on another Video, those who saw it might say, "Why am I seeing this again?" I will do the video for the Rear Sight soon!!

Here’s hoping Colt makes the Python and Anaconda in a 4 inch barrel again, and not a 4.2 inch atrocity.

Well, the 4.25" was for Canada, but that is NOT happening anymore and you might have missed it, but Colt DID release the Anaconda in 4" at SHOT Show 2023. I know, I was at the Colt Press event in December and I photographed it for Guns & Ammo. They only had prototypes there, so we didn't fire it, but I'm happy with my 6" Given that Canada has pretty much gone Nazi Germany, I don't know the future of Gun Ownership there.

I totally missed that, I sure hope both come to market, I swear it throws the entire balance off with that extra .2 of an inch that I’d rather have a 6 inch.

@@josephwhiskeybeale Colt was trying to compete in the Canadian market and Fidel's Illegitimate Son ended that!! Kommie like daddy!! I fired both the 4.24" and the 6" Pythons, I like them both!! I will say NO to the 4" Anaconda!! NOPE!! Back in the early 2000's I had a 4" 629, that thing was freaking NASTY!!

@@yrsued Yes, you are right and while the 4" barrel is more traditional, (in my humble opinion) I honestly don't think Colt, or other manufacturers, will switch back to the 4.00 from the 4.25 barrels. The management at most gun companies is probably not going to want to waste the time and money to redesign, reset up and retool to make a different barrel that is only 0.25" difference. I understand and agree with Joseph's point on wanting all equal and even barrel lengths (2, 4, 6, and 8") for simplicity and tradition, but as we all know money talks. There is probably not enough profit involved for all the major manufacturers to change from 4.25 back to 4.00. But we will see what happens.

@@smithn.wesson495 Did you know that back in the day, S&W didn't make an 8" Barrel, they always made an 8-3/8" barrel, I had a few of them. Colt went 4.25" to fit into the Canadian Market and that fell apart!! They might go back to 4" now that the Canadian Market is history. But like you said, it costs money to change tooling and change manufacturing.

I always liked the Millet white outline rear sight and wish I could get more of them, if Wilson would make their sight like that I'd be a customer. Simply stamping the paint doesn't work well or last long, a groove to hold the paint could be made using photo etching, cheaply and precisely.

Personally, I prefer black serrated rear with a gold bead front.

@@onpoint77408 The Python and the Anaconda ship with an Orange Ramp, so I purchased the Gold Bead and the Rear U Notch from Wilson. I think the only gun that ships with the Fiber Optic is the Original Cobra!!

@@onpoint77408 Me, personally, I don't like Fiber Optic, that is personal Taste, but, if you are using it for Plinking and or Competition, the FO is the way to go. I wanted to build a Combat Revolver!! I don't trust Fibers for Combat!!

@@onpoint77408 For me, I prefer the U Notch, but that is a personal preference, I think whatever is best for you and what you are more comfortable with.
