I just picked up a set of brand new D9 Forged for $550. Since I am a low spin player, I bent the offset out of them by weakening the lofts and flattened the lie angle and these are the best irons I’ve owned coming from Mizuno and PXG. I also recently added the Dynapower Carbon driver and love it as well. Kudos to Wilson as I had never tried them before.

I think a lot of people would have the same thought as you if they gave them a chance and good to here that you have found a set that you're enjoying for a great price as well!

Appreciate the fact that you have given time to a company like Wilson’s products as they are really just as good as the top name brands at a fraction of the cost. Originally, I wanted a set of P770’s which were $1300 USD so the D9 forged fits great at a significant savings

Help Luke 🙋‍♂️. Hope you are good !! Quick question: Have you ever tried to cut a GC in three places, then run a thread on the ends in order to establish the whole shaft again ?? Reason: I have some clubs I take with me in my campervan to just practice when out camping - however, they are always moving around and taking up valuable space - I thought 💭 if cut them - and, when I use them, just screw them back together to get back to the original size !! When not in use - I have a small leather pouch to store the cut GC. I know I would need an insert to screw them back together. That’s not an issue for me !! Don’t really want to cut them - as it seems wasteful - incase I ruin them !! Thanks 🙏 James 🫶✌️

Thanks Luke. Wilson DynaPwr Forged is definitely on my short list. Also looking to try the Ping i530, Cobra Forged Tec and Srixon ZX5 MKII. I currently play to an 11 handicap, and hit my 7-iron about 150-155 yards. But just turned 69 so, sadly, I'm starting to see a drop off in distance 😞

this is what i like about wilson...traded in my cobra forged tec one length against the D9 forged and only had to pay £109 price has not compromised quality they actually look like a better players iron in the bag....not hit them yet but cant wait......😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

How would you compare them to the forged tec? I am thinking about buying the cobras but am not set on them

@@ElChupacabra0973 very good camparison dont seem to get flyers with the wilson irons.....the forged tec are a good iron but you have to get the 2022 model not the 2020 model.....all round good feeling iron the wilsons you wont be upset

@@ElChupacabra0973 i would presume so as i had the 2020 model.......but dont go off my opinion as we are all individuals......you will have to get a iron from each brand,see what fits you the best...........good luck

I like Wilsons. Wilson doesn't have the sex appeal of a Brad Pitt or George Clooney. It's the Robert Redford of golf clubs. A little more marketing muscle and placing this in the hands of Scottie, Xander or Rory and for sure these will fly off the shelves. Like Redford, he'll produce a film or star in it every now and then and it seems to be nostalgic and will come out with a blockbuster.
