Great video again. I recently cleared out my garage and found my Wilson Staff Tour Blade Fluid Feel irons from the 1980s. Took them out for a “retro” round and they were fantastic - brought back some great memories. Wilson have made some excellent clubs in the past and are clearly continuing that tradition.

I played the Wilson Staff blades and the V6's all of 2020. You won't find a nicer iron at any price . Great review.

As a kid I dreamed about wilson staff blades (in the mid to late 1970's), eventually getting a set years later when I could afford them. I loved those clubs. Wilson has been at this along time, glad to see they are still turning out quality forgings. I'd consider playing these for sure!

One thing I have realized is how the gap between the major name brands and the lesser names is closing... The Wilson's, Cobras and Srixon are coming for Callaway, TaylorMade etc. Great job!

There never was a gap. The only gap is in their marketing. Wilson irons are the best feeling irons as it stands today. And they’ve won more majors then any other brand 🤷‍♂️ no gap there bud

I have been playing Wilson Staff irons since 2006 when I purchased a set of Wilson Staff NC-6 irons with Ust V2 Proforce graphite shafts along with 3 Wilson Staff TW-9 wedges 50,54,58. At the time I was truely amazed by the feel and shot shaping characteristics of these irons . I had played those irons for seven years and then I had purchased a set of Taylormade SLDR irons and tried playing them for a couple months but wound up going back to the NC-6 Irons until I purchased a new set of Wilson Staff C-300 Irons and from day 1 I have enjoyed every minute having these irons. I have also purchased the Cortex Driver, C-300 3& 5 woods to complete my Wilson staff collection. All in all Wilson Staff Golf is nothing to shy away from . Next time you are trying out golfclubs ask to test drive a set of Wilson Staff woods and irons you might be completely surprised. Merry Christmas Everyone.

Hi Andy,Geordie here who spoke to you in Craigielaw car park,I got Wilson FG Tour v6 irons last year and they are without doubt up with the best irons I've ever had and I've had many over the past 52 years.They are not long in fact I lost distance changing from Titleist AP1,s but they are really consistent with distance,beautiful to look at and the strike is superb.And best of all they are way cheaper than other leading brands.Would recommend highly but advise always to get fitted.

I’ve had the Ci7’s and loved them. Only reason I don’t still have them is I was tempted to try a true GI iron. And while I was trying the Ping G irons I gave my Wilson’s to my brother who took them to Australia. That’s a little far from Florida to go and get them back. I have moved on from the Pings, they were just not for me. Love the look of those CB Forged irons. Next time I’m in the market they are on the top of my list.

Played Wilson Staff FG Tour blades back in the day when Most sets included a 2 iron. Best forged blades I ever gamed! Now that I’m older, a little bit of help is a good thing! Currently gaming Titleist T200 irons, and enjoying them.

I remember starting out playing golf with a set of Wilson Sam Snead's. I remember them being tiny in comparison to a modern day iron. I would certainly consider Wilson. I don't consider myself as a golf brand snob. Good video again. Many thanks 👍

For start, a forged iron allows the player to feel really connected. For me, this is integral to my game. I love Wilson and remember they have been around for a long time. I frankly think they are Wilson forged irons from the 1970s that hold up against most modern versions. Absolutely beautiful video as always. All the best

Hi Andy, I just started playing again this year after around 20 years. My last set of clubs were Wilson fatshaft. So I decided to get fitted and chose Wilson D7's. They feel great off the face, a nice ping. I always had a high ball flight, so the slightly stronger lofts suit me. Pricewise, they're excellent. Can't fault them.

Bought the first Wilson Fatshafts and loved them. Sold them and bought Gen 2 Fatshafts. Played them a few years more and had my game at a solid 12 handicap. Got a good set of Taylormade irons as a gift and used them a couple seasons. Bought Ping G10 driver to wedged made up a complete set. Played the Pings but changed the driver shaft to an Aldila. The Pings took me up to a 15 hdcp. For giggles I bought a used but almost mint set of Gen 2 Fatshaft irons, 3-PW. Played a round and shot a 77! Bought a Cobra driver and with the old Wilsons I'm playing to 10 hdcp and break 80 a few times a year and it's a short Canadian season in Northern Alberta. Wilson makes outstanding sporting equipment worldwide so because they're a monster corporation people think their golf equipment must be just average, wrong. Go buy a beater set and put them in a skinny little carry bag and leave them in the trunk of the car, the boot if you will. Then if you get off work early and are passing a small public course treat yourself to surprise 9 holes before supper. And if the set gets stolen from the car, get another old set. I'm telling you they're magic how straight these irons hit, 3 iron laser beams and you'll be watching in awe.

I changed from Callaway Big Bertha to Wilson D7 Forged this year and I absolutely love them. So much more consistent in distance and incredible value for money, as well as looking and feeling great

I discovered Wilson Staff irons about 8 years ago or so from a buddy who played them. I started with the D200’s for a couple years, and my current set now are Wilson Staff C300’s. Next set is going to be Wilson Staff Model CB. They’re the best feeling irons I have ever hit. Even the cast heads are buttery smooth when you catch the sweet spot. Wilson Staff clubs are always welcome in my bag.

Well, you asked for Wilson players to comment shortly, so I will. I have a set of Wilson FG62's since three years and I love them. It's my first set of Wilson irons, but it won't be my last. I'm interested in the new Staff model blades as well as the CB's that you reviewed. I play off a 4-5 hcp and I like blades a lot, but I tested the CB and they feel great too. We'll see if it ends up a mixed set in the end. Good fun to watch your video!

I fancy these as well but tempted by a prope fitting at SGGT near edinburgh, they only fit the staff CB irons tested here. SGGT fit using 4 irons across the range to ensure the fit is correct, and after discussion today thge fitting fee is credited against the cost of the clubs if you buy them.

Andy, your timing of video is perfect. I am looking to replace my irons and your input is well rec'd. I just retired my 1976 Wilson Staff Tour Sand Wedge & me 1992 Wilson Staff Tour Lob, it was time. Kirkland Signature wedge set: 52, 56, 60. Need thicker grips but other than that, wow. 35-year-old

I have the Wilson C300 Forged irons, D7 driver, D7 3W and D7 3H and love them. I remember my first set of irons were Wilson K-28’s and I loved them. As I got older I started playing with bigger brand clubs, but wanted a change. I thought why not give Wilson’s a try again. I tested them at the PGA Superstore and I was immediately sold. They just have such a soft feel, literally feel like marshmallows popping off them.

I like your reviews! You asked for potentially underrated brands. Lynx irons (a la Freddy Couples) sold out this year according to their website. Another would be Hogans. The scenery on your VLOGs is beautiful.

Great review. I had a set of Wilson irons about 40 years ago. They've always made a good quality product. It's a good looking iron but like you mentioned a forged iron is all about the feel.

Great review and Wilson make great products probably the most underrated brand in golf and great value. Just wish more retail outlet’s were available. The most successful brand with 62 majors won nearly all the pros have played Wilson at some stage of their career.

It’s funny, I have had all kinds of irons in my bag from P760’s, to Apex Pro 19’s to MP20 MMC’s to Srixon 785’s and I still think Wilson forgings feel the best, their 8620 Carbon steel just feels absolutely phenomenal, like crystal off the face. I can confidently say if I had the choice of any iron on the market, W/S and Srixon would be the front runner for me.

Started in the early 80s with wilson x -31 irons, played many different sets over the last 40 years, currently playing FG 5 tour forged and looking at the CB as a new set..irons look great...thanks for the review

My first set of clubs that I bought was a set of used Wilson Staff blades with the red dot hosel bottoms. As a beginning golfer I couldn't do much with the irons so I traded them for a set of Lynx Parralax irons which I was able to use quite well still have them. I currently play with Cleveland VAS, but it's time for some new technology, I will definitely look into these Wilson sticks. Keep doing what you do, like to hear your opinions.

I had a full bag of Wilson staff clubs, M3 driver and 5wood D200 4hybrid DI11 irons Enjoyed them but the driver and hybrid didn’t last longer than 3 years. My dad now has them irons and likes them, I think Wilson staff are underrated and I would have no problem putting them back in the bag!

quality irons, quality Maccas breakfast order, and quality content. Expect nothing less from you. My Dad has wilson irons, he always has. I currently play Srixon, but I would certainly consider Wilson Irons. I think out of the manufacturers out there, Wilson are severely under rated.

I bought a set in 12/2021 to replace a set of Ping i210s that had been stolen - mostly based on this and other videos - thank you for your honest impressions - 3 - PW - I am 73 and average club speed in the 80s - I hit the 3 iron 190+ yards totally shocking my 70+ playing partners

I went in for an iron fitting and tried pretty much every type of iron head and I ended up getting the D7’s. They felt great and even my “misses” were all in the center of the fairway. I would highly recommend these irons. They looks great and low key sneaky

You will not regret it. I have the V6 forged (previous model to Staff CB) and I love them. Weaker lofts than modern irons therefore required adjustments with regards to distance per club. But man, they feel so good! Also have he Cortex Driver. Really like it, still getting used to it (changing my driving swing this year so... not so good yet lol!!). It feel really good and is very forgiving imo. Loads of possible adjustments.

I use Wilson 1200 Ge Gear Effect Steel from about 1988. I used to play off 13 & starting golf again after 10 years. I would be highly tempted to go for Wilson V6 irons as I've not heard a bad word about them.

I have a set of Wilson X31 plus about 25years old and have always liked them. Coming back to the game have set myself a score target for custom fitting of a new set of clubs and keep looking at Wilson’s and just like the style of their clubs. Will be testing several brands for sure before I buy my new set

Wilson and Cobra make the most value clubs in the industry. I have played the V6 and possibly in the top 10 irons made of the last decade, Wilson isnt a popular brand at the moment but the quality is brilliant.

Went to AG the other day and tried the D7 forged. Lovely feel and consistent results. Also tried Mizuno JPX HM forged and the Wilsons were better.

Got Wilson c300 forged last year switching out from Ping G irons I used to have i20 but stopped playing as much so wanted forgiveness with the G but just eventually couldn’t deal with the bulk went to Wilson great looks and forgiving so consistent front to back dispersion.

I have the WIlson Staff V6 forged irons. Love them. Look good behind the ball, feel great and great spin response imo. Also have the Staff model 52 and 56 wedges. No too shabby either! Still getting used to them, purchased them this winter.

I’m 42 and just started playing this year. There’s not and Iron I’d like to have in my bag more than some nice Wilson Staff D6 or D7! All the others are great, but the reviews and the looks, I’ve got to get some one day! As of now I’m playing some 20+ year old forged Cleveland Irons.

Great review on a cold day...I bought my first set of Wilson Staff FG V6 irons a few years ago and love the lofts and the way they still get good results on miss hits...Not sure if going to these new irons would see much more improvement other then loving to have a new set....will see what the future has in store...Thanks for sharing your views...

Good honest channel...thanks. I started with Wilsons but playing with Pings G6 these days.....Agree...the best feel is a good 4i or 5i shot...if you ask me...makes it all worth it and can put the smile back on your face if the driver has been giving you hard time :)

Andy, i think what is sometomes the difference for a lot of mid handicappers is that they try / play them with the wrong shaft / different shafts!!!🤔😉🙂👍 Fiiting by a trustworthy fitter is necessary definitely 💪💪💪👍👍👍
