Hey everyone - thanks for tuning in to my first ever Monthly Collection Update. In this video I'll be showcasing the editions I've picked up and welcomed into my collection - some great and others not so much.
This is my first time trying something like this so please, go easy on me and if you have any suggestions on how I can improve this segment, please don't hesitate to let me know.

I hope it lives up to how I remember it. I've got a terrible feeling it's going to have aged quite badly. I'm sure it'll still fall under the 'so bad it's good' category 😁

@@maturinsa9167 Thanks mate! I do love video games when I get the time. I'm currently working through Far Cry New Dawn right now but there's so many others I just haven't had the time for. Resident Evil 2 is one I'll pick up when it drops in price. I had a look and I love the look of those Vinyl... there's been some awesome Halloween and Evil Dead soundtracks released and the artwork on those is amazing too but they're not something I want to collect. I don't think my Mrs could cope with me starting another collection 🤣 Thanks for watching bud and enjoy your soundtracks.

love your room, jealous of the Back to the future and ghostbusters stuff I saw. It must get really expensive wanting every version of a movie I tend to just choose the one with the cover I prefer or the 4k version

Thanks Peter. It can get pretty expensive but my lady and I don't have children, we don't drink or smoke and we both work and it's what we enjoy spending our money on. Looking at all the incredible artwork for releases like Ready Player One or Deadpool 2, there's no way I could pick just one edition. 👍

Love the video I think your collection is epic and cant wait for your next vid. Could you do a video on the sites you use and the best place to get the best deals I'm from the UK and find it hard to get films and editions that are not pre owned. Keep up the great work.

Thanks bud. Some of those bigger editions are long since sold out dude. Some I've had for over 15 years and the stores aren't even open anymore. Ebay is pretty much the only place to grab some of these editions these days. Some of the newer items I'm happy to give out links if there's any you want to know about. 👍

YES, you continued making videos. Love it! Have you heard of the German 'Cinedition' set by Twentieth Century Fox? For example X-Men Origins: Wolverine, AvP 1&2, Independence Day, etc. They would be a cool addition to your collection!

They were pretty limited and came with a booklet and film cell which look very cool! Thanks for the heads up my friend... I'll be on the hunt for these if I can track them down for a good price. I've got a few collector friends in Germany who help me grab editions that don't ship direct to Australia so I'll see if anyone of them have ever come across these on their shopping trips. Hi, Mark. Stumbling upon your awesome movie museum tour a week or so ago made my day! Wow, by far the most impressive collection I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. If you wouldn't mind, could you please tell us where we movie maniacs in the US might be able to pick up the flat disc magnets you use to hang and display your steelbooks? Those magnets I picked up from a store here in Australia called Officeworks although the company that makes them - Three By Three - I believe are based in Seattle so you may be able to pick them up over there I'd imagine. Hope you keep making these videos, we really appreciate them very much. I'm looking forward to picking up the 35th anniversary Ghostbusters 1 & 2 steelbook 4K UHD five disc set in June. I'm also looking forward to picking up the Batman 89 onwards series of films in 4K too. You should probably do some videos of films your gonna order soon, so we too may pick them up. Otherwise when you show us in your collection they will be long sold out. Don't worry I only buy a few films a year these days and mostly the Marvel Cinematic Universe one's. So I won't be buying all the films you mention. Once again, great video and thanks for sharing.

Thanks bud and I appreciate your kind comments and awesome feedback. That new Anniversary Ghostbusters steel will be beautiful. I tried to mention Everything Blu's King Kong edition to give people enough time to preorder it but I realise when I showcase a few of these editions they're already going to be sold out. Not sure how I could do what you suggest without just talking to the camera about what's coming out and that might be really boring. People can find that out easily the same way I do - Hi Def Ninja, Blu Ray dot com, Facebook groups, newsletters etc. I'll have a think and see if I can incorporate it in 👍

There is a version of the Neon Demon with the same packaging as that DVD slip you picked up for blu Ray in Australia, I got it from jbhifi and it’s the same artwork cover but for the blu Ray

My copy of Swindler's List has some errors on it. So I exchanged it for a copy of Anne Prank's Diary with the collectible fakesimile of the ballpoint pen she used.

ive spoken to 88 films in the past. they said nothing is in the works right now (month or two ago) but they said that they will get back to adding more to the slasher collection. so keep an eye on em.

Could you share your favorite movies with us? I’d love to hear your opinion on what you consider the best movies, or even just personal favorites. I love that you are a fan of all genres and types of movies. There’s doesn’t seem to be a single a movie that you dislike. I respect it.

Thanks Justin. I do try to see the good in everything - especially movies. Even bad movies often have some redeemable features... but this month, Cannibal Terror literally had nothing likeable, like not one thing. It was soooo bad. This week so far I've watched 12 Strong, The Relic, Hell Comes to Frog Town, Searching and Pet Sematary and I liked them all. I've just been reading the new Hellboy movie is getting panned by the critics... I'll probably end up liking that too 😂

Great video man and what an insanely good collection you’ve got. I’m visiting Australia lye this year, just wondering if you know of any places that may have a Let The Right One In Blu-ray? My all time favourite film so want as many versions of the film as I can get! Can’t wait for your next video

Thanks Richard. We're pretty lacking in movie stores here in Aus or at least down here in Tassie. That's why I have to import so many 😁. There's JB Hifi which often gets some great steelbook exclusives and Sanity which isn't too bad but doesn't get anywhere near the amount of cool releases JB gets. I don't think either of them ever had a cool edition for Let The Right One In though. The best one I know of was from KimchiDVD in South Korea - kimchidvd.com/en/21070/v.kimchi. A great lenticular release and they ship worldwide. If you don't have this one dude it might be worth picking up. Cheers and enjoy your trip to Oz mate!

How do you choose between dvd or blu ray? or even 4k? Do you buy both dvd and blu ray of a movie (standard cover edition)?

Hi Mark, could you do a vid on those AUS Studio Ghibli boxsets in your collection ? I’d love to see these releases in more detail. A quick 5 min vid would be enough for me to get a real look at these stunning boxsets.

Thanks Gary. Honestly I'm not sure how many Blu Rays there are altogether. At a very rough guess based on how many can fit on each unit there's around 25,000 titles (all formats)

Hellooo mate I'm so impressed with all your videos specially with the tours.. I'm sure you will do more deep tours about your collection in the future. I'm collecting movies too. I live in Melbourne.. Where do you live? I'm sure we can make a great community about collectors :). I'm Latin American so I have some movies from Perú ( my home town is there). So maybe we can share some knowledge and I can show you some Peruvians movies, is wonderful keep in touch with other callectors I hope we can start doing that...

Thanks Marco, appreciate you watching and reaching out. I'm not too far from Melbourne - I'm in Tasmania. Me and my lady often come over to Melbourne if there's a music gig on or to do some city shopping. Minotaur is such an awesome comic and memorabilia shop! I can't go over to Melbourne without going in there. I don't think I've ever seen any Peruvian movies but if you have some favourites I should check out let me know... always keen to see something new. Cheers bud.

Thanks bud. I've got some new pick ups and arrivals I've added since this video. Plus I've got a lot more on preorder - some which should arrive before the end of April. Was thinking of doing another update at the end of April to show what's arrived and why I grabbed it. I've had a few requests for individual videos (Spider-man collection, Ghibli box sets etc.) It would be nice to accommodate these requests but it's just finding the time to do them 👍

Wondering if you could help... I’m looking at buying from film arena, I’m in NZ. What delivery option do you click on when buying from film arena? The only 2 options it gives me is Czech post economy or Czech post priority, are either of these overseas delivery options?

Hi, yes that's correct. Both of those options are for overseas shipping, including NZ. Both options can be quite expensive for us over this side of the world but FAs editions are quite heavy and really well packaged so it's to be expected. The economy option can take between 2 - 12 weeks to arrive. Previous times I've used this option, items have taken the full 12 weeks to arrive to me here in Australia. Now I almost always choose the priority shipping. With this option items can take between 2 - 14 days and come via air mail. In most cases, from shipping, I have them in about 10 days. Much better than waiting almost 90 days via the cheaper option. I hope this helps dude.
