Out for the night in my Bison Tundra Lavvu. The forecast was for rain and winds. Perfect weather for a woodland camp:)

I've watched quite a few of your videos over the past few months Sandy but this one is a real credit to you. Beautifully filmed and edited, it doesn't rush in the way it conveys the peace and ritual of wild camping. Well done, sir - a treat to watch. Thank you for the effort to which you clearly went in producing this.

I don’t think there is anything you could change about your camp set up. The hot stove, bed, tent. I definitely think you are a grandmaster of camp set ups. That piece of wood you found was amazing. Nature concealing her secrets within.

Another peaceful video for me to watch as I munch on my own dinner :) What a pleasant way to spent a night...tending a crackling fire, cooking whatever you want, giving your tools the care they deserve and falling asleep listening to the pitter patter of rain on the canvas. All of that with a dog by your side and the warm glow of a kerosene lamp. Lovely and stress-free :)
@WiltshireMan5 жыл бұрын
Yes Vojta this is all as it happened and the best bits were when I put the camera away and just relaxed:)
@althiel015 жыл бұрын
No wonder, I always both admire and feel a bit sad for the film maker when I realise he or she keeps getting distracted from enjoying the actual moment I see on screen so he/she can pay attention to the camera. This hits home the most during the shots when someone is walking away from the camera, leaving the campsite off to the distance, and you know they have to go back to pick it up :D

Another relaxing video greatly enjoyed Sandy. I love the sound of rain falling onto a shelter in the woods, very soothing and calming. There is that special something that’s hard to describe to people that haven’t had the pleasure of an overnight camp. The music added to the clips is lovely too. As always thanks for sharing.

I liked the whole idea, nice tent, cute dog, I'll bet it enjoyed the heck out of running around out there(never got it's name), It may be raining out but it's cozy in the Lavvu. You scared me when you were sawing with your hand underneath the blade at 5:40. I saw you feeding, but missed the dog. People like to see that. There's something very special about getting out to basic necessities living, you're one lucky enough to appreciate it.

Hey, I've been subscribed to your channel for years and it really inspires me! I feel your video editing, shot composition, music choice has been a real inspiration for me starting out documenting my own wanders in vlogs, as well as gathering some great tips and inspiration! I recently did a similar camp with my teepee and wood-burner stove and felt a similar way regarding managing my wood resources, I also made my own cotton-pad firelighters like you and they worked a charm!! Loved watching this as always mate, Elsa looked like she enjoyed it as well more so when you was cooking supper. Great idea using the under quilt as a blanket !.. Thing is the tent could benefit from a ground sheet, need not be a posh one, but would that would cover most of the floor more so where you would have most traffic on.. If you wanted me to knock something up it's NO drama for me mate.. Be safe and take care to you and your loved ones. PS. i was thinking 2 IPK sheets sewn into a big square then cut like a 50 pence piece shape and a bit of insulation under the bit you mostly stand on ??
@WiltshireMan5 жыл бұрын
Mack, your kindness know no bounds. The tent is 4 meters diameter. I'm not sure if two IPS's would do it. But a ground sheet would be a great addition.
