30 years ago, my husband walked the coast to coast 2 weeks before our wedding. To celebrate our 30th anniversary we plan to walk and wild camp it together at the end of July (lockdown permitting.) Your videos are a wonderful inspiration. They are about the landscape and the experience and you are a super narrator of your journey. You brought a tear to my eye on more than one occasion. Thank you for sharing your ‘coast to coast’ in such an honest and thoughtful way.

Congratulations Sandy, very, very, well done my friend. You have accomplished so much in your life already, this is just a small addition to it. It is actually a huge accomplishment for most, but, for you, it is much smaller in comparison to what you have already done. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. Enjoy the outdoors and all of the adventures that are always welcoming you.

A moving end to a great trilogy. I worked that out to be about 12 miles per pint. Not a bag MPG for such a long pub craw. You definitely deserved that ice cream at the end. As I have yet to complete any of the amazing walks we have in the UK you are an inspiration to me and many others. Keep up the good work. We must catch up again soon. ATB Ant 👍🏻🙂

Incredible!! I have spent 8 hours over the last 2 days watching along while following every step in my C2C path Trailblazer guide! Pausing the video every few seconds finding you on my map and exploring the local areas around you. Its been superb. I feel I’ve been on that journey with you. When you stealth camped I used headphones and sipped my tea quietly 😂 I am yet to do C2C myself but aim to in the next year or two. I watched Hazeoutdoors and a few others. I loved his and I love yours. Your laid back pace allowed time for the viewer to soak in the atmosphere. You’re a gent, brilliant and I’m so grateful for you documenting the walk. Very emotional at RH Bay. Proud of you as if I know you. You’ve made me so excited to know I’ll be experiencing it too. Hope to speak some day. To you and family present and departed...God bless 👍

I have been watching several videos on the C to C as plan to come over and have a go next year, assuming possible by then! I am currently 70 and have stage 4 cancer, although in remission so will be looking to take my time and probably stay at pubs and BandBs en route. Although wild camping is something I would love to have tried. What really impressed me with this video is that the others I have watched were made by very fit young men plus the inimitable Abbie Barnes. The over riding message from all those videos seemed to be finishing it as soon as possible at whatever cost to body and mind. You are clearly no spring chicken, finished it in less time than most of them, never complaining, but seemed relaxed and enjoying the walk as well. I was beginning to think maybe I should abandon my plans after other videos saying how terrible it is to do, If they were struggling what chance do I have?. You have re-inspired me. You are also the only one to take the high road over haystacks rather than the easier route and the route I would want to take. Like you I have done Helvellyn and I think Striding edge once is enough for someone who does suffer a little from vertigo! I am surprised not to have seen anybody yet take the high path in Swaledale which was clearly one of AW's favourite parts of the walk. I have lived in Thailand for 17 years, but previously my wife and I would often do day walks from Muker down the valley to Keld and then over the top, before coming back down via Gunnerside to Muker. It is no more difficult, taking the higher path. Great video and if not being too rude how old are you?
