For those of you who didn't get it, that's because this video never says what you do for 2 days. Actually you do it for the rest of your life. He says it takes 2 days of doing it to get the effects. That's odd since most people who do this get immediate effects. So here is what you need to do. I got this information from a yt video made by someone. I'm just sharing it here. Do this every morning b4 you eat and as many times as you want during the day, but do it on an empty stomach, so b4 dinner and bed are good times. First relax and focus your mind. Next, take about 5-10 slow deep breaths, fully in and fully out, to warm up your lungs. Then do some dynamic stretching for a couple minutes. Now, lie down or sit down and take 30 deep breaths. Breathe in fully and just let it go. Exhale naturally. Don't breathe fully out. Fully in and just let it go, normal exhale. No pause between the exhale and inhale. On the 30th breathe after the exhale, hold your breath for as long as you can. During this time you want to relax. During this time you'll feel tingling in your hands and feet and maybe even your head. When you need to breathe, breathe in fully and hold your breath for 15 seconds. For added benefit tighten your stomach muscles during these 15 seconds and squeeze the oxygen into your head. Don't force. Do it gently at first and increase based on how you feel. That was 1 round. First time you can just do 1 round or 2 or 3 rounds. Go with how you feel. Next day you can do 3 rounds. Some end up doing 4 or 5 rounds or even more, but it's not a competition. You decide how much you do based on how you feel. Each round you'll be able to hold your breath longer and your breath holds will increase with time, but some days they'll decrease. Don't worry. This is normal. My breath holds suck right now, and some days I don't do any, which is unfortunate, but it happens, but one time I held my breath for almost 3 minutes. Some can hold it that long or longer right away, but that's not the point. If you do this every day, it will, over time, increase and you'll feel good. After breathing, do some more dynamic stretching and then take a cold shower or gradual cold shower each morning. Start warm and slowly turn it colder. In about a week, you'll notice a difference in how much cold water your body can tolerate and after about a month, even more, but even with cold showers sometimes you might need to step back and kinda start over. Don't worry. Everyone is different. Wim has a free app, but just about everything on that app is now also on KZfaq, including his Guided Breathing Session, which is really good. There's also plenty of videos on here and testimonials. Everyone should do the Wim Hof method at least once a day. As Wim says, a cold shower a day keeps the doctor away, but no cold shower if you're sick. Take care everyone. Stay well. I'm very glad that my comments here have helped some people. That feels good. One of my dreams now is to meet and train with Wim. If that ever happens, I'm so going to make a video of it : ) Edit 1/23/21 I just now realized I should've mentioned that I got some of this info from a yt channel called 'Code of Life' She put out a series of videos on the Wim Hof Method 'Step by Step'. I should also mention that I don't always do the warmups. Often I just lie down and do the breathing exercises and sometimes follow up with a cold shower, though lately I've been lazy and haven't done anything for like 4 days, so I challenged myself today and took a full ice bath. By full, I mean the tub was full of ice, not partially full. Somehow I managed to stay in for 4 minutes. YIKES! LOL. Don't do more than 1 or 2 minutes the first time you take an ice bath. I only lasted 20 seconds the first time I tried it, lol

Taking a cold shower is a great thing to do not only will it wake your body up but it will get your mind to withstand being uncomfortable. It’s easy to take a warm shower you feel more relaxed and comfortable. People are scared to be uncomfortable these days. People are scared to take risks. Little things like a simple cold shower can improve your confidence, improve your attitude, improve your life. It teaches you I don’t need to take the shortcut or do something the easy way. I’m going to challenge myself with every opportunity I get put in front of me. Hope all of you make your dreams a reality. God Bless you all.

Cold showers are extremely under-overrated. People make it seem like taking a cold shower will solve all your problems, and others act like taking a cold shower is pointless. Ive been taking a cold shower ever day/time i take a shower since the beginning of this year. Just after the first time i actually tried it, i literally felt like a new man, and completely different than before. I felt like i just went from base form, to super saiyan and all my senses were enhanced. After this long of taking cold showers i have reaped all the benefits from it by now, and i can honestly say that taking a cold shower has in fact improved many aspects of my life. Also you start off the water hot/warm, then you ease your way to all the way cold for at least 3 minutes, the longer you endure the cold, the better, and easier it gets to take cold showers. Now the cold water doesn’t even feel that cold anymore

Two years ago I was so depressed and felt very lost in many ways. And all it took was taking cold showers in whichever the season or the weather, also swimming nearly everyday in the sea in winter. I found peace, bravery and happiness, It helped me tidy up my jumbled mind and pushed me to be a better version of myself. Once you START doing something good, the next thing that you need in your life will come, it is an uncontrollable beautiful succession.

I believe singing has a similar effect on your brain. Notice how when you jump in cold water, you can easily let out high pitches. As an experienced classical singer and voice teacher, we use this ice-water feeling sometimes to help people engage breathing muscles on their highest notes. Basic breathing for singing involves taking a yawny breath, and gently trying to keep that position while you sing. You imagine you're still inhaling to sing. Singing is also primal and good for you mentally and physically. Sing! 🎶

Wanna know what is happiness ? No or little debt! Good sleep, a meal at the end of the day, someone to talk to that cares whether it be a spouse, mom, gramma a friend. We already have all the answers, we just need to listen closely to our deeper self. This is only one of the things our body's toolbox have, we just need to have the thirst of getting to know better this complex machine we use every day and sometimes forget about or ignore, which is sad. Let's stop accepting everything we think we know, and simply explore and enjoy this journey with every aspect that comes with. PS: imagine your body as something that you received as a rental, and that you will need to take care of it, daily (love it, respect it, then washing, meditating, keeping the stress as low as possible, staying happy, taking care of your health etc.) but yet you enjoy it, so again, take care of it, it's precious.

We have to get through to all first time parents and millennial parents that the worst thing you could ever do to your child is get them a smartphone or tablet and let them play video games or surf the net all day to keep them entertained and quiet. I saw a truly frightening statistic yesterday in a TEDx lecture i watched on how technology, especially smartphones are making a whole generation of children from the ages of 2 to 10 less intelligent than previous generations. Approximately 92% of those children ages 2 to 10 have a smartphone or tablet(ie. iPad or Kindle Fire etc.). That blew my mind!!!...I have a ten yr old son and he is only allowed to use his iPad for 30 minutes a day and that is only on weekends when he has no school. He plays outside with his friends all the time and reads a book for 30 minutes as part of his homework everynight. He has a friend whose parents raised him with an iPad like those 92% i mentioned and i can see a huge difference in social skills and intelligence that my son has compared to his friend. They are both the same age but my son's friend has the intelligence and social skills of a 4 yr old, not a ten yr old. There has to be an intervention of all parents in this country. Read to your child or make them read and make them play with their friends outside in nature!!

I have to admit. I just did 3 cycles of his breathing so that I was holding my breath for 2.5 minutes by the last cycle. On the first cycle, I hated it. Now, however, I feel so very good. Like all my burdens are easier to bear. I am very surprised. This feeling is addictive. I actually have to stop myself from going to do it all again.

Only been doing the breathing techniques for three days with warm to cold showers. I do the breathing techniques 3 times a day for 3 rounds each time. On the third day I had done my normal breathing exercise and went straight under the shower, I started a bit warm then after washing myself I put on the cold water without hesitation. This time I didn’t feel so cold and I didn’t get that shock when the cold water hit me, I felt at peace but also confused as normally I would hyperventilate and not be able to cope. I suffered a lot from anxiety and depression for many years trying to figure out how to fix it with multi vitamins, cbd oils and nootropics but they never worked for me. Doing wim hof and regular exercise is only thing that has changed me for the better, also make sure to stay hydrated and eat good food! This is the only thing that’s worked so far and I recommend everyone to put this into practice. I’ll carry on doing this for the rest of my life!

I’ve been doing the cold shower thing in and off for years an art instructor in college told me about it, then just this week this guy pops up in my recommended and I laid down and did the breathing as he instructed along with him, and I got the most insane body high and was astonished at how long I could go without breathing. There were colors I was seeing on my eyelids and a very very strange (to me) sense of absolute relaxation and body awareness I didn’t think possible. And it was my first go at it. I was skeptical but it worked so well that when I came out of it I felt in touch with myself like never before. This guy has shown me something so simple yet so amazing that I can do. I struggled to hold breath for 50 seconds before and doing this I hit almost 2 minutes in what felt like 20 seconds. This shit takes you somewhere. Genius.

Hey I'm a huge skeptic okay. But this is my experience so far. Tried it 2 days ago after watching Win Hof on the Joe Rogen Experience Podcast. Had no idea of it "taking only two days" I actually expected it to take years but... First day I was a little uncomfortable because I hate the feeling of blood rushing in my body I guess. Always hated blood pressure machines, holding my breath that type of stuff. But. I did it. And then yesterday I did it with a cold shower. And now today I feeeeeel great much more positive, better energy overall. I can't explain it. Then I just saw this video of him saying it takes two days and I was like wow its dead on. So idk imma keep doing it we'll see how it goes...

@@ohlookabunny I stopped it about two weeks in. The cold I think is similar to an ice bath on your muscles so that felt nice but I don’t think deep breathing really changed anything doing it in the cold. I’d rather meditate and take an ice bath separately, and it sucks ending showers with cold water. Instead I’ve just been developing my diaphragmatic breathing through meditation. I’ve switched to following Ido, this guy who developed “Portal” movements. He teaches people how to move as proper humans and that’s helped my body get stronger more than anything.

Basically do the Wim Hof breathing technique Exhale (not all the way, just get some oxygen out) Inhale a breath that fills your belly, then your chest, then your head with oxygen Rinse and repeat 20-30-40 times each set and try to do it for a few sets Then take cold showers Start by lowering the cold in your shower gradually if you're taking hot showers, then go to finishing your showers fully cold, then try to go to coldish to cold, then fully cold There you go , saved your precious time, now feel free to do what I said with that time =]
