His backhand was certainly powerful, but it was his accuracy which made it so deadly. His equally strong forehand and formidable serve made him a feared opponent whom nobody wanted to face.

Richard Gasquet beated Stan wawarinka in Wimbledon QF in the epic 5 setter battle which is crazy.

Wawrinka would made a better match against Djokovic than Gasquet.

This was hardly comfortable for Gasquet.

@@andrejmitrovic4958 We have absolutely no idea about that. Stan's worst surface is indeed grass, but in his 2014-2016 prime he was definitely a top 8 grass player. His best Wimby match was against Fed the year before in 2014 where it was a matter of Fed being more clutch at key points. However Wawrinka is stylistically a hard match up for Nole (hence why he leads the GS H2H since 2014-onward), so there would have been a good chance he would have beat Nole in that semi. Don't forget he beat Nole at the RG final a month before, so he would have the mental edge going into that match as well.

@LUCAS LORENS EMILIO CERVERA Based on? When did prime Wawrinka play a Djokovic at Wimby? Besides, at the end of Wimby the grass has detoriated so much it's not as fast anymore. This + the fact he is stylistically a very hard match up for Nole makes me think Stan would have beaten Nole in the semis (had he gotten past Gasquet).
