In todays video I want to focus on or shot or better said a tactic, that may sound crazy but that can win you tons of easy points, but almost no one is using it.

For beginners, during the rally, I also advise to play some shuttles at the back in the middle ; because as you said, nobody trains that (at least at the beginning) and players are very formatted to the four corners. I see most of beginners being lost when the shuttle is going right over them.

it's an excellent tactic and i agree with everything you've said. it cuts off the angles, it's technically difficult to make a high-quality reply, and you're right we never practice it; i've never had a feeder give me those shots. but i will now

I’ve been doing this more especially when I feel unsure of making a good shot, but feel I can make a high quality shot to the middle or even a smash. If it is really middle sometimes they think the other will get it. But under pressure I find if I can get it back one more time, you’re right sometimes they make the mistake.

I find this to be particually true in doubles, where there are gaps in the court and win points from miscommunications

Even More useful in doubles, from drops to smashes. Middle line is to be fully exploited in doubles.

do you think that this would work in M or W doubles effectively?

also in doubles it makes sense to play to the middle but the reasons and situations are a bit different. Especially in the attack in makes sense to play to the middle because from there your opponents will have a hard time to make the court big for your and your partner and it is also good if you hit the area right in between the opponents where both could take the shuttle but they don't know who will take it.
