American professional eater Randy Santel versus Este día's Massive Cuban Sandwiches and Double Cheeseburger Challenge hosted by Este Día Cuban Restaurant (這一天異國廚房) in Taipei City, Taiwan of East Asia!! My girlfriend ‪@KatinaEatsKilos‬ and I left Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam in Southeast Asia and flew to Taipei, Taiwan where I attempted 3 delicious Taiwanese competitive eating challenges around the greater Taipei metro area, including Keelung City in northern Taiwan. For final food challenge #3, we headed to Este Día Cuban Restaurant (這一天異國廚房) in Taipei City, which is known for serving up delicious Cuban-style sandwiches and burgers. There, I attempted Este dia's Massive Cuban Sandwiches and Double Cheeseburger Platter Challenge and had just a short 30 minute time limit to finish everything I was served. There were 4 different Cuban-style sandwiches on freshly baked bread. One was a traditional Cuban pork sandwich and the other three were made with sliced beef, salmon, and chicken. Along with the four Cubano sandwiches, there was a giant double cheeseburger in the middle with healthy vegetables and a strawberry jam/jelly in the middle. The challenge included a pile of fried deliciousness that included seasoned French fries, spicy hot chicken wings, some chicken nuggets, cheesy mozzarella sticks, and more!! As for a drink, challengers must also finish a 1.4 liter beverage of their choosing. Not knowing the drink was that big, I ordered regular orange juice for my drink of choice. There is a 30 minute time limit to finish everything, and everyone pays NT$1,500 for the meal, beforehand. Winners get NT$2,000 cash, so they profit NT$500, and their name and photo gets posted on the Wall of Fame.
