In this video, I take a look at the Winchester 1100S air rifle that I got from Walmart for $25 on clearance. The normal price is $69 and that is pretty low for a break barrel air rifle. The question I am trying to answer in this video is, is this gun trash or a treasure. I put this rifle through a rigorous break-in routine and the results of the test may you. The Winchester model 1100S is made by Daisy and is the same as the Daisy model 1100S.

Ordered mine from daisy for 59 bucks. The thing is a beast at 11+lbs. The pellets so far that are most accurate in mine is the cheapo Winchester domed. The weight is probably why it's more accurate. Good video bro!

Target should line up and sight ABOVE the front sight. If front sight covers the target to hit it, your sights are adjusted too low. Raise elevation until target is on top of front sight and you hit bullseye at zero. I zero my gun for 30 yards for 600 fps, 8.3 grain rws pellet. With scope. For open sight, zero 20 yards max. Simply put, always put target on top of front sight and adjust elevation until you hit bullseye at zero point. I get 7/8"group at 30 yards dead on target. You can not hit a target if the sights are in the way and must guess where it is. Hope this helps. You can check videos on YT for steps to zero your gun at any distance.

The sighting system you are referring to is called a Military Sight. I have also heard it called a Flat Sight. It is a highly effective sighting system.

The only thing I found trying to sight it at longer distance was if you raise the sight too much the dial for the horizontal adjustment hits the stock when you cock the gun

I was looking into getting one of those because the price is so cheap, around 60 bucks now. I like the high power of that rifle, and I'm thinking it might be better for squirrels than what I'm using, which is an old '92 El Gamo .177 with wooden stock, made in Spain. I picked it up at Wal-Mart in '92 for 100 bucks, which was high at the time. They only had two of them, but I'd never seen a break barrel before so I bought it. Even today it still shoots extremely well, very very accurate. Over my chronograph it shoots 7.9gr lead pellets at 680fps. It would be nice to have a little more power for squirrels though.

Ya know that Daisy looks a lot like some german made air guns... Almost exactly. What are the odds? Almost got one, but it was discontinued, sold out. Walmart - no return, not for me. Instead found a new Beeman 10616. Lucky really. Suppressor, sights, scope, metal spring, 1200 fps max, 1024 fps with crosman hollow point 7.9 gr. 18+ fpe. Accurate. Heavy, quiet, great for pests and hunting. $129. Added Tasco air scope 3-9x 40 AO, $53. Not seen a better combo for $180 yet! Still looking though...

Which rifle is better ? Daisy 1101s or Winchester 1100s ? Or are they the exact same rifle but with different brands ? I remember I had a 1000s but I cannot remember if it was a daisy or a Winchester but that thing kicked butts. I got a bunch of rabbits and dove with it. Very accurate & powerful. Its been 15 years since then.

I would not say it is heavy. The trigger pull is a little rough, but not too bad, and should improve with use.

@@thejungleexplorer some of the reviews said it is heavy. Also they said the trigger pull is heavy. Really thinking about getting one, but I'm an old guy and don't want a real heavy rifle . Can buy one of these for less than the Daisy 880. Friend of mine has an old umarex force that feels really. Don't want anything that weighs that much.

@@rodkramer8879 For target practice, use a stiff pillow as a rest to shoot off of. You will get much better accuracy. While hunting, shoot free-hand. Break barrel air rifles cannot be stabilized like other guns. The more you try to stabilize them, the worse they shoot.

Hi.It has held up fine. It is a solid little pellet rifle. Unfortunately, the group is no longer active. It was a local Facebook gun buy&sell group. The group was private and restricted to only those in our local region. Facebook shut it down.

I was lucky, but it is not the first good deal I have gotten on an air rifle at Walmart. You just have to keep a constant eye out.

I got it on special. Over the years I have landed several deals like this on air guns at Walmart. You just have to keep an eye out for the deals. I participate in several air gun groups and they were the ones that put me on to this deal.

Yes, very good in fact. It is difficult to stabilize pellet at speeds higher than 900.

I bought one and out of the box, and the barrel was very dirty. After cleaning, it is very accurate.

I know the walmart have crazy sales the other day i found a benjamin marauder. 22 pcp. For $100 dollars why?? I dont not but is a 600 dollar rifle for only 100.. 2 oh 3times i see this Crazy sale in the rifles 😮

Na lol I fired mine out the box and it was dead on. I hit 80, 100, 150, 170 yards with it and Crossman pellets. It's all on my channel though my vids suck compared to yours

Na man. Your videos don't suck. I watched them. Good quality footage and sound. Stable. Great venue. I love the farm birds and the scenery. You're a man of few words and I am a blabbering parrot that can't shut up, so you have that in your favor as well. The only advice I can offer you is the same advice that I live by, "What would I want to see in a video?" Watch other people's videos that are similar to yours and look for what they did that you liked, and what they did that you didn't like. For example, in your video, I would have liked to have seen a target camera showing what you were shooting at. I use old smartphones for this (called B-roll cameras) You could put one down by your target. Then in post editing you just add that footage from the Target Cam as an overlay. If you don't have a computer to edit on, there are smartphone apps that can do it. But that is just what I would like to see, that does not mean you should do it. As I said, make a video that you would want to watch. I am a very technical person so I like technical things. Not everyone is like me. All the best to you my friend.
