Nice video, I am a old Mossberg owner, own many, but after shooting the SXP, I never looked back. Just a lot more bang to the buck and better handling. Winchester has done a terrific job with all of their shotgun lines.

"just pick the guys that are on our side" make no mistake, Turkey is Turkey's side, no one elses. That said the SXP and/or 1300 is excellent. For tactical uses you will probably want the nordic components +1 barrel extension which is pricey, but you get a top tier pump gun in the end.
@p51mustang2410 ай бұрын
Any dislike I have for Turkey is overcome by the excellence of this shotgun. It's not even really a price thing, since by the time you customize it its the same price as USA made.

Great and informational video! Where did you get the choke tubes from?
Got the same model in the same color a while back, just kinda doin the routine purchase justification rounds. So far so good. Got the thing after bein a bit nostalgic for my old 1300 I wish I never sold,and seein that mossy mavericks started sellin more expensive then they used to as you could usually find them somewhere at 188.88 year round and was in the market for a pumpaction so for not much more than a maverick took a chancevand bought it despite its Turkish manufacture and haven't been dissapointed yet. Like most pumps is possible to shortstroke it but the easy action makes that harder to do as there isnt really any hump in the action to make you think its all the way open when you're burnin through old cheapo AA rounds as fast as possible mainly just tryin to look cool. Is just a neat little gun. Still tryin to find the same rhythm had with my 1300 when I was younger,but thats on me. Used to almost slightly exagerate the recoil rise then drop that same as comes stock now truglo snapon the bead fiber front sight (thinkin mans red dot... Well green on mine)on the target in a consistent motion that worked with 2 3/4 target to magnum 3" buckloads at a pretty dang steady clip that makes me wish you still got one more round in the tube,like my old 1300 defender (cother than the cost of quality shells these days). But has a 3/4 inch shorter barrel too and just seems to feel lighter overall in hand. Sadly and obviously dont have the 1300 here or probably wouldnt have bought this and just an od green can of rustoleum instead but would be neat to see the other subtle differences it got over the years. All in all is a great gun and a good choice even versus some fancier models have handled over the years and glad got this over the maverick as at least out of the box fitment seems better and if it lives up to my old 1300s reliability will be a beast. Wanna get the longest barrel I can get for it with some tight choke and see how it handles larger sized steel shot as a possible bird gun. Almost bought a slug barrel for it a while back but after looking at the cost of some of the loads I used to enjoy just ended up buyin a .450 bushmaster Ar upper instead since quality ammo for that always seems to be on sale way cheaper than a lot of comparable bigger bore "brushgun" loads like 45/70, .500 beowulf,either .460 or .500 s&w etc. Was astounded how much remington 4 buck went up in price. Ordered a couple boxes of it towards the end ofcovid that were double what I paid before and I just cancelled it since had been on backorder for almost 7 months with no end in sight only to see it went up another 5 bucks in that time for a box of 5. Just ridiculous

I have a couple other rifles I've painted the furniture on but there is an advantage when they come that way as the pigment runs all the way through material so when worn or scratched it remains the od color. I continue to like this shotgun more and more just added another reason to like it regarding length. It fits in 90 liter dry bags I use in my canoe. I have some reasons personal to me just as you have. Thanks for the response.

Very nice shotgun. I own an SXP myself too. May I ask, did you have any difficulty installing the rail for the optic ? Thank you
@backacresalaska22727 ай бұрын
The original screws that plug the holes are very small and difficult to replace when returning to original configuration. The Red Dot is something I would only use when hunting with slugs. The optic is easily removed from the rail but I do not care for the way just the rail encroaches on the sight picture. I keep these parts only as a backup to my hunting rifle.

I want to buy a flashlight that I can mount on the rifle, but the cheapest flashlight starts from 5,000 ₺. good day Sir
@backacresalaska22727 ай бұрын
Your country can be proud of this shotgun! And it's a great value! Slugs or sabots can negate the need of a rifle until afforded. The sight it comes with is excellent even with my poor eyesight and in my environment the scabbard is most useful and could be made yourself.

@backacresalaska22722 ай бұрын
The shotgun is already drilled and tapped you need only remove the factory screws plugging the holes and replace with the new ones that come with the rail. Save the original screws plugging the hole in case you want to switch back. I just ordered the rail from Amazon.

Are Remington shotguns made overseas now ? I have had 3 wingmasters all made in the USA . A couple Mossberg 500s also Amercia made. I did read something about the Maverick having parts made in Mexico but I'm not certain.Doesn't seem like we make much here anymore . With that said this is a nice looking lightweight . My only two concerns is will it hold up well and if I can get the screw in chokes shown in the video but without the holes or if not then the invector tubes .This makes this thing very appealing for multiple uses. I can see it as a decent rabbit gun in the thick stuff for example, or something light and quick for close range deer hunting.
