As a manga reader I am SO happy with this adaptation, they're doing such a good job! Whether it's the directing, animation, choreography, soundtrack choice, anime original scenes or additions it's just been SO GOOD. Revisiting that flashback scene to use the teardrops to show Togame's sorrow even if he wasn't actually crying. The way they animated Choji's movements so far when fighting Umemiya. AHHH IT'S SO GOOD AND IM SO HAPPY.

This anime has surpassed so much and it’s only getting better from at the end. When Sakura and Togame started fighting for real, I was laughing along with them. I had a huge smile on my face. I haven’t enjoyed a fight like that in a long time. Now for choji, I wasn’t surprised when he kicked togame, I was honestly thinking if lucky he was gonna be told to leave but then the kick. Ume better beat sense into that shrimp. He needs to be brought back down to earth. This anime is cinema, just beautiful and only getting better.

Choji is...complicated to understand. He's simple and childlike to the point he doesn't even understand his own feelings about things.

This episode was an emotional roller coaster! While I was happy during the main fight, during those “mirror shots/movements” between Sakura and Togame, I was afraid Choji would jump in out of jealousy and knock them down. Right after that fight, I looked at the time and said “neat, next episode is the bosses’ fight?” only to get hit with it straight away! Wind Breaker doesn’t miss! It’s been a long time since I’ve been hyped to see more of an anime!

The anime where talk no jutsu is directly imbued into the fists of everyone in Furin. But its actually good

Me too at the beginning thought it would be straight 3 furin wins, then Togame wins then choji vs Umemiya is up in the air. Then I wanted Sakura to win, then Togame then a draw. But this episode and Togame giving up makes us realize its just about a win-loss result, in fact its never been since the emphasis is on Fist-talk no jutsu & the story. The way things developped is only because of one clear problem. These whole fights were not about simply winning vs Shishitoren: its about saving Shishitoren from Choji because Shishitoren took the wrong path (because of Choji) thus they lost their fight as a proof of it and Togame tried to set things straight by also giving up hoping Furin will change CHoji and Shishitoren for the better. Especially when the kid cannot even have fun in fights anymore nor feel anything from it. The results of the fights are just build ups to the Choji problem. Banger episode🔥

I feel like they gonna slap us with another flash back this time of choji that makes his behavior more understandable. Cuz so far he's just a psycho Also the captain will 100% win. His punches are the Windbreaker lol

I cant believe the complete 180° With Togame. Saying Sakura's name and genuine smile. I went from I hate this douchebag to damn this is Big bro,we dont wanna disappoint him,and keep this fun fight going.I was laughing hard when they both dropped to the ground hysterically. I can tell they respect each other and are grateful for the common ground of how things truly need to stand. Cheers 🍻

I like how Togame and Sakura have both come to respect one another, Togame calling Sakura by his name was one proof of that and then there's Sakura who got angry on Togame's behalf. Chouji was brutal for that kick to Togame, I really hope Umemiya does win. I think narrative-wise it makes more sense for Umemiya to win but a complete annihilation from Bofurin is still a surprising idea though it's seeming more likely. I am also glad Chouji is showing more of his true colors that Togame has been attempting to hide so I wonder what him losing the fight will change things within Shishitoren.

1:30 finally someone mentioned this. i saw people complaining how boufurin keep winning, but now i keep rewatch and reread the manga, i think this is a plot to make choji more dislikeable maybe not really the best plot to use, but yeah, make choji dislikeable is the point edit: man nirei is not even my favorite but i'm gonna say it again and again. he is not just an "obnoxious" character. he does has development, and a very realistic one from a person who is a scaredy-cat and never join fights before

Since the episode is over, it’s been established that Togame is way stronger than Sakura and even Sakura admits it, well at least in the manga it is. Togame is at least top5 fighters in the manga so far and Shishitoren is at least top 3 gang as well.

I so wanted my boy togame to join the squad so badly i dig the Sakura Togame friendship bond the friend he needed the most.

As a fan of the WBK manga, hope you can see the next episode differently. It's more of a therapy session for chouji to get back his former self again.

Sakura and Togame both got a +5 added to their respect. have to love it when the antagonist is written so well you have to root for their down fall. on a lighter side of things, i can't help but chuckle every time is see a Re:Monster comment. i think the audience is just trolling you at this point.

Can Wind Breaker stop being so PEAK. Togame has literally become one of my favourite characters in this series. I thought he had a badass villain design that could be like a final boss but I really want him to be a friend now with our boy Sakura and the gang. His story is just sad... It must have been some time that he had been doing this "skinning" and protecting the image of their leader who is a nut job. But our top dog also said that he had it rough. So I'm waiting to see his backstory but he needs some emotional and professional help from the way he is acting. He has no chill. He slapped his "best friend" when he tried to call everyone off and if Unemiya loses next week, I'm gonna be hella pissed because this boy needs to know what a defeat is so he gets out of his invincible power driven mentality. But that fight, the animation, the direction... I love this series... I love it even more than I did with TR and it's a goddamn shame people aren't hyping it up as much as they did with TR. Some people can call this series a bit cringe but I find it perfectly fine for what it's trying to be. And that is a fun, emotional, deliquent series with some badass fights and some very good characters. I would've loved to see Togame join Furrin since he is that calm personality but when he gets serious... He can throw some serious hands as shown in this episode and it was only that he pulled his punch away and gave up that Sakura won... Sakura knows he has a long way to go and that he was "gifted" that win so I'm glad he is realistic and not being full of himself like some other MCs might do. I don't really mind Nirei tbh. Yes, he's a little obnoxious and you kinda question why he's in this series when you need tough personalities and good fighting skills which Nirei doesn't have but that doesn't say he won't get that. I would like to think he's gonna get a wake up call eventually... Maybe not this season but maybe the next. We shall see but I'm so hyped for this series each week and I can't wait to see more of it every time. The OST and sound design work so well too. Clover Works is killing it! Great review Brandon.

Ume was more seeing that there was literally no "conversation" between him and Choji. Which is what he desires in a fight, and what Sakura just had with Togame, which is why they both enjoyed their fight. And after Ume took that swing that "missed" and just the shockwave gave Choji a bloody face, lol. That's why he said at the end that he can't have a conversation with him, so he knows that he won't lose. Basically Choji is a psychopath lmao. But I love that Sakura stood up for Togame at the end, prob my fav part of the episode. He doesn't even know why he did it lol. Funny how throughout the fight he was questioning why he was enjoying it when he should be hating the guy for picking on someone weaker previously. The whole range of feelings Sakura went through during the fight was nuts. Now we get Ume to show off.

Nah bro I love Nirei, you're gonna see his character development in future eps. This is coming from a guy who has read the manga. He might not be a good fighter but his talent lies elsewhere. None of the characters in this show are useless and I love that about this anime.

Knowing how Nirei is in the manga, I will never trade him with Togame. Don't get me wrong, Togame is cool. I quite like him, but he already has a pretty neat role given to him in the manga. Nirei plays a completely different role that ties directly to Sakura's character development. Nirei is the closest to a deuteragonist of the series alongside with Suo. In my opinion, that is the right call, because a whole cast full of cool, strong guys can get boring very fast.

Fights are good but if they make togame bad and Sakura beats him was sooo satisfying
