Wind Spinner- New and Improved

I came up with an improved design on my wind spinners. I'm using metal blades now and I will show you how to make a Wind Spinner that should last for years.

It is a very useful tip when using metal blades. I have been using metal blades for quite some time and I nail them. Congrats! (from Brazil)

I enjoyed watching you make your wind spinner, and your grandchildren will love what their grandpa has made. Then I got to thinking...I know that could be dangerous! My home is solar powered and I've been wanting to install wind power as well, but it costs too much money for me, so I wonder if I could convert your wind spinner to make me some more electricity that I can store in batteries. Thank you for sharing your video and inspiring me to do some creative thinking. Cheers from Tasmania!

I looked into that project one time but never did it. I think the cost of the voltage regulator etc etc scared me away from doing it. Maybe I will look into doing that for fun now.

So nice. Unfortunately I came here hoping to get some clues how to use a flange berring to put under a birdhouse and keep the squirrels off. I just have never worked with berrings and I don't understand how to make the shaft stick to the inner ring of the berring, lol. I'm sure it's simple and possible without welding, but I just don't get it.

Just one question Tim. When you mount everything on the structure frame, is it just the rod where you found the balance point holding everything up or is there a housing point that it goes into the base? Richard Hollister

I love it. However...If you sell them someone will probably sue you after they stick their fingers in the turning blades. I'd do this for my own yard but probably won't do it for customers. Any thoughts on this?

I don't sell any of my projects. I make them and give away to my family and friends who want one. You are probably right. People are sue happy these days.

Don't be silly nobody's going to sue you if you sell them. Only an idiot would put there fingers into it. And if they did they deserve what happens next
