Mack's Moto understand. Right now I have my bars Jersey Raked a little. Thinking about pulling them back some too.

It just kinda sits on the bracket. The bracket is snug so it doesn't fall forward. When riding, the wind holds it in place

No, I think that they would need to be pulled back a good bit to accommodate the windsplitter. There is the angle of the shield but also the vent to account for.

Mack's Moto Looking to get bats but wondering about install cost. The harley tech I talked to said it would be around 1000 to install bcuz redoing abs cable, brake, clutch. Did you have that experience?

Yo Jeff! I would say that the standard windshield does a better job of blocking wind. However, I have never liked riding with the standard windshield... maybe it is just my height or the fact that I ride with a full face helmet but I get too much buffeting with the regular windshield. The windsplitter blocks plenty of wind and looks better in my opinion. It doesn't work as well as a fairing or standard windshield, but at 80 mph you can really tell a difference. The first time I hit the highway with the windsplitter I notice that I didn't have to death grip the bars, if that makes sense.

I heard if your over 6 foot it’s worthless? I’m 6’3 so was worried but love the look and hope not the case.

@@grantbresley5343 not sure man, might be something to that. I have always felt that the standard windshield was too tall for me. I am 5'9 and the Windsplitter is just right for me. Guess it depends on what you are looking for too. I prefer to look over the windshield, not through it.

Tabacco AL there is very little difference at low speeds, but really makes a difference on the highway. I don't notice a certain noise.

Yo Herman! Still love it. I don't use it for riding around town or even for rides out into the country. However, if I am doing a ton of highway miles.... the wind splitter is hooked up.

The windsplitter is built for the Road King so those bolts/brackets are set up for the touring frame. I have never seen anyone fit one up to a soft tail.

The tires are Metzler Marathon Ultras... the wheel is a 23. Stock fender wouldn't fit, no.

Scott Stewart yup, it is the smoke wind splitter. Pretty sure it only comes in smoke.

Very nice. I just put a deposit on this exact bike. The black on black looks so good. I may possibly do a stage 2 but not sure yet. This video finished my decision.

Mack's Moto Did you have to get a bigger riser clamp size? I saw in another video the rk special has 1 1/4" but the 47 Malo is 1 1/2. True or no?

Scott Stewart I had to get with the dealer who did the install. They are actually the signature bars

@@williambrown12 no, I believe the dealer was able to use the original cables.

That is one of the things I like about it. It cuts down on air to my chest and reduced fatigue over long distance, but lets enough air flow to my helmet so the vents actually function. To each his own, but I hate looking through windshields.

@@cristianoborges979 dealer did the work before I bought the bike. Pretty sure they used stock cables, yes.

Did you put a rake kit and what fender did you use?

@@that_mdrfkr4451 yes, Arlen Ness rake kit and fender. Originally had the Arlene Ness composite wrapper fender. Went with a Paul Yaffe steel one when it cracked

The fender was an Arlen Ness fiberglass slim. I have since replaced it with a steel version. The wheels are performance machine, the front is a 23"

And plz also bar... i ordered 2020 roadking special and wanted to make better look front and will upgrade shocks and break... But the very first part thing to do is front wheel and fender but i prefer 21 or 22... 23" is too big to me lol

Step 1... tell her I wanted to buy a bike Step 2... listened to how she felt about that and what it meant for our family. Step 3... honor her requests/feelings and take necessary precautions to show her the bike is safe (riders course, rode 6 mos solo before letting her on the back, etc..)
