I am in the process of creating my own wind-up doll costume for halloween with the help of my dad, and we came across this video. In your comment above, you said you used a BBQ rotisserie attachment...and we are curious which one you used and how you got the key to "wind up". You did an amazing job! Thank you!

I would be very interested in knowing which rotisserie motor you used as well, or interested in commissioning you for the electronic base. I like the ability to wind the key, and the "clicking" noises that it makes.

Hi, is there any chance you have a tutorial on how to make the motor? I have the key made but really need the motor and I can't seem to find how to make it.

OMG. I want one. Really Really Really bad. Do you sell these? Will you make a tutorial? Would you consider selling these at conventions, but less awesome, since her Coppelia act is amazing? Sorry, my uber-steampunk-fangirl-seamstress-ness is showing...

Oh my stars! This is amazing! Do you do commissions for these!? This would absolutely nail my Tik-tok (from return to oz) cosplay!

Sorry, I don't do commissions on these anymore, but the secret ingredients are listed below in the comments. If I were to remake it today, I would use a much lighter and simpler wooden noisemaker. You know, those twirly things? Using metal was a lot more trouble than it was worth

This is so amazing! Do you have a video tutorial on how to make a detachable key b/c the version I know comes with the key already attached to the original motor? ( I use a basic toy motor)
@joeProcess7 жыл бұрын
sorry lilJAy, no tutorial :) i would recommend modifying whatever tutorial you are using, and adding something like tight sleeving pipes to make the joint. Whatever you do, keep it light! once you start adding heavy metal parts out there, it creates a host of secondary problems. good luck!
