Hey A Kolios, I used West Marine 5 to 1 resin epoxy with black pigment and course Himalayan pink sea sail. This is what I already had at the home and it worked well. What would work much better is polyurethane Surf board Resin as it does not yellow in the sun. This way you can do a clear coat or use less pigment. As a lot of pigment is needed to make sure the regular resin epoxy does not yellow in the sun. Plain table salt is too fine and rock Salt is too course. I recommend a medium / fine white salt that is not too much money. I do not have a specific brand to recommend. This process is so much more durable vs the spray on kind. You can also apply a medium coat of resin and evenly sprinkle a bunch of salt. This makes a smooth even grip that has layers to it. If you ever ware down your first layer there is another underneath that with some water will reveal a new grip coating. Happy projects! Jonathan

It looked amazing, what is the black product you used that looks like paint. I will try adding in my board, seems more simple then doing the whole sanding/spray painting thing
