you didnt event teach how to control narrator

Let's distinguish be tween the two restrictions: complete visual impairment and restricted vision. Both are distinctly different, but they are often lumped together when promoting audio access functions. Windows Speech recognition and control functions can function pretty well if the user can see, albeit with restricted vision. Where these functions fall short is when used by the blind, who not only need Screenreader functions, e.g., when on the internet. However, they also have to control the PC. They have to Start the PC; perhaps login. On arrival on the Desktop they have to navigate around the interface and then in explorer, amongst the files and folders. They also need to find, start and use whatever program is within the program. This is a huge challenge that has yet to be surmounted. Windows Audio access functions have been around for 10 years, and its deficiencies have prevailed much of this time. I would hope that the new voice and audio access system in Windows 11 has been overworked and the long-standing deficits addressed. I hope that the new interface for the tools is not only cosmetic and still carries the same old functions as yesteryear.

This video did not help me at all… The only thing that I am trying to do is have narrator read the text on my screen. Instead, it’s telling me everything else around the screen and not reading the actual text I need. I’ve read the guide maybe six times. Not one chapter offers me how do I simply get this to read that. Instead it’s giving me toggles and how to change the voice speed. Then it keeps exiting out of every website that I try to type in. And even if I do try and type something it says it’s unavailable. So what I am gathering is that I cannot type in a website while narrator is on? I have tried working with this narrator so many times. But it’s done way worse than help. It’s actually made my computer way worse to work with. It sucks and when I try to Google information, I come to useless videos like this one. That tells me how great this app is… But when I actually try to use it? It’s terrible.

I do have some vision. I just want narrator to read my google doc, but I don't know how to get it to do that. It's reading the links, images, tools, etc literally everything except the actual text/book. Is there a way I can have narrator read where my mouse is?

Natural voices are great. I can't see them in Narrator for Windows 10 though, is this Windows 11 only?

it is rubbish try getting it to read a 5 page pdf... really annoying only does the first page

I used to haved Zoomtext, but Windows 10 & Windows 11 don't really support it except that AIScuared wanted me to purchase the program again and then pay for a subscrition. Fuck that.
