@FlashFireSix I do the same thing whenever I gather evidence that a virus might even be on my computer (i.e. high CPU usage by csrss.exe or I find some oddly-named file running, doing off things). But then a virus and a rootkit scan usually help me get to feeling better.

I just went there. It just says "As our thanks to you, our visitors, please select a *Free* gift!" That's pretty much it. There are no popups. The timer that used to be there is now gone. There are no viruses on that website. Goggle is an urban legend.

I know that firefox blocked this completly but if you were using internet explorer 6 then you'd be bugged but i think Internet explorer 7 blocks the pop-ups =P not sure tbh but heard that the owner of the site was sued

@FlashFireSix same here... first thing i do is fast manual shut-down( psu shutdown) and then ill try to figure out what just happened while covering my eyes with my one hand and use the pc with the other

Tony, I recently watched your video on “why not to use full frame lenses on crop sensors”.... However I have seen many people using FF lenses on their A6500 with great results? Even DXO specs they have high marks tested on the A6000 series.... Jason Lanier uses FF with really great looking photos coming from a A6500 ( its the video in the desert) title begins with “EPIC SONY” what do you think? -Sorry to bother you about it. FF lens 16-35 f2.8 GM costs more than the camera!!! 🤓

dude just to let u know nothing happens at goggle, i typed it in on a school computer that didn't have any protection and it was just a free rewards site.

The timer is for the "free" item that it is displaying. If the timer runs out, no free gift :(

goggle is not a myth,i went to a internet cafe,went on the site and kept getting ad pop ups after i logged on

When I get a notice that a dangerous virus has infected my PC I just simply just get a feeling like "WTF is this shit again?!" and then I switch the power off. Then I might open the PC next day covering my eyes and hoping for the best.

@artuno1207 The PC my family uses I went on a file sharing site and I clicked on a shared file and this message popped up and automatically refreshed the page and I panicked and literally flick the outlet's off switch. I was so scared that when my mom came home she went to get on that PC and I was so scared, but after that, THERE WAS NO VIRUS!

i went to this website accidentally before. Messed up my computer so bad i had to throw it in the garbage cause it got like 3 worms, 2 trojans and a bubble virus all from the same website.

Dude, if you want to get real protection, do this: Buy Eset Smart Security 4, download Spybot Search and Destroy(free), download Ad-aware Anniversary Edition(Free), and Malwarebytes(free).Eset is well known for detecting almost every virus,malware, etc + it's detecting unknown threats/new viruses who hasn't been discovered before. It's not using much memory, and the scan is megafast.Spybot and Ad-aware is deleting trojans, malware and cookies. Malwarebytes detects almost every malware out there.

Vista didn't stop this. Goggle just got shut down and the viruses were taken off. If I went there on XP now nothing would happen but a few popups.

Wow! Vista - the 2nd worst Win OS of all time (ME "Miserable Edition" takes top cred). Vista is the #1 reason I switched to MacOS. Sure, I have Win7 but I never use it. Glad you guys got into teaching about photography! I mean, I'm a bit of a geek too, but I like photography waaaay more than I ever did computers.
