Ten years after the SR52 Blackbird blew us away there is a new, smaller SR model ready to take on an ever-growing field of challengers. With a sunny Solent as our playground it was time for Jack to put the Windy SR44 through its paces...

Thank you @UC36Hy_G_pHxIO3c2avWfLOw for this nice show of the Windy SR44 the Masarati of the sea very nice and wel spec and very nice for the south of Europe but not so for the north of Europe but what lay next to the Windy is that not the Botnia Targa thats more a boat for the North of Europe fit the same eniges and is a all weather boat and cost less? but thanks again

@@midas1929 I’ve been in Cranchis and Windys, unless they’ve changed drastically in the last years, the windys are far superior in finish and piloting

@@tacodias I said "I prefer" and "style", especially interior. For the prices Windy charges compared to most brands, they also better be good. We also do not have to agree. Tastes and needs are different and there is a boat out there for everybody.

If I had a £million to spend on a new boat this would not be high on my list. For that money I would be looking to spend weeks on end aboard. Oh well academic, so back to my little Contessa. I enjoy your videos though, if you pass a red hulled Contessa 26 as you leave the Lymington River give me a wave? I won't try to keep up with you.

Saxdor gto, for a fraction of the price

Despite this one being very very expensive (and there are better options for a lot less) the Saxdor isn’t one of them, it’s much smaller, less well built (more stuff will break) less capable, and a lower brow brand

@@napalmhotdog4365 you are probably right on all of the above. This is a beautiful boat, but very expensive. I’d be interested in learning about the other options you mentioned
