She's an artist. No one should have idolized her and forced her to be someone for them. It wasn't about her. Ever. It was about her music.

She suffered for her art, but I wish someone had helped her save herself.

Unfortunately she wasn't ready to be helped, in the last year of her life she was ready to seek the much needed help, but it was too little too late for her.

That’s the trickery of addiction, one day you can think you’ll never drink/use again but over time you’re brain convinces you you’re better with it and life is more fun with it, it makes you feel normal and relaxed

I look at this in 2019 and one part of me is fascinated to the core by how real, how much of a personality she was and the strength she had. Another part of me aches a lot because we lost her so young! I wish i could give her a piece of me to just make her smile at least a tiny bit. RIP, the voice of a generation.

She is one of the most genuine artist that I have ever seen. Her music, her lyrics, her sound all of it was real. Even her personality was real. Mannn this hurts💔

People like Justin Bieber tell you that you have no problems and nothing to worry about But people like Amy tell you that they feel the same way you do. That’s the difference between an artist and a polished up Barbie doll like Justin beaver

You can blame her b.f. Blake for that shit.
@christinajenkins19277 жыл бұрын
I read heroin too.
@meldoborel6 жыл бұрын
I think you can blame her own demons instead! As she says in some raw itw : "things happen for a reason"... she was not some daddy girl! She just went too far ignoring her own limits and real needs, end of the story. It's sad to notice how people can see only what they want to see : when a drug addict or a drunk fails at being "strong" or "respectful", then he's considered as shit, just like the man she loved so much, but when it's about Amy, wouaou, one can read all the shit on Earth like "that's because she was an artist", or "the others made her do that" bla bla bla. She was just a regular human being with a trouble mind, and yes, she was also this huge artist.
@DARKOvibrations6 жыл бұрын
Christina Jenkins no you cant blame blake. Amy was a big girl, a beautiful soul, but an adult who chose her path. She and blake were a bad mix, but it was alcohol that killed her. And blake certainly didnt introduce her to alcohol

Every 50 years or so, A brilliant song writer, singer of jazz comes along...Amy Winehouse, was HER....Her voice and lyrics were amazing...I wish that somebody would have tryed to save her..I understand an addict has to want to be helped....Im not keen on her dad Mitch...She was his child.. And he is still making tons of money off her music...He even said he skiffs off the money of her Amy foundation.. Such a shame, cause there will never ever be another 20 year old with that jazzy voice, and writing those amazing lyrics....27 years old when she left us, she never really lived..RIP baby girl, you were a kind and brilliant and beautiful soul.....
@lorst556 жыл бұрын
A talent unlike any other. As for her father, his heart was broken when she passed. If he skiffs off the money...then so be it. Am sure he would pay it back thousands times over for one more minute with her.
@lorst556 жыл бұрын
Yes I agree. Sad she had so much to give, she should have written more songs about her drinking and drugging am sure was a huge decision. REHAB said it all, and when you listen to self written songs they usually have tone of drinking and over indulging. I wish she had written more, I wish she had not died.
@isabellawinehouse22265 жыл бұрын
I agree, she was something special but I think Angelina Jordan is already a big jazz singer and she will be the next.

"i know that if I'm honest about myself and honest about my time, what i do with my life... then these girls, if they hear that, they gonna be like 'yeah i'be felt that'. i'm not a dickhead and is cool, other people feel this, do you know what i mean? that's what i'm here for. cause you know i've been through times when i've been so fucked up about a situation that i've had to just be like 'write everything down', you know. Even feelings that i don't wanna acknowledge. ESPECIALLY feelings i don't wanna acknowledge and things that i wish were not true but they are... and you know is just... good because someone else might hear that and be like 'I'm not an idiot for feeling them things.' or 'i'm not weak for feeling them things' or 'I'm not a mug for feeling these things towards this, man'. you know what i mean..." She the realest person i have ever seen man.

You can't look out for someone once drugs take hold, they become a completely different person. She also had unlimited money so it's not as though she had to ask family for anything or steal to fund her habit. I don't think anyone could have stopped her but I truly believe Blake STARTED her off and kept her where he needed her to be. It's awful x
