I’m not much of a white wine person, say 5% but I will be trying a Grand Cru Chablis now, thanks Joe! It’s always good to have a white on hand for a warm summer’s eve.

Watched all the episode here in youtube =) Wish i could watch all season 1-3! But sadly, i cant seem to find a way to watch it here in Asia =( Hope you can educate us more of the Basic of wine =) i love that this was made for us to appreciate expensive and cheaper but great wines =)

Just because it's grand cru or premier cru doesn't always mean the best though as other factors can affect the quality of the wine

Needs more Dino the Dauschound ...or Joe should wear more hats ....you know a little pinache to go with the paunch ? ( spelling bad drinking more wine :)

Joe, I've been put off Chablis for its reputation of over-production, sticking fancy labels on poor wine and over-charging. Has this now been eradicated? Should I trust Chablis quality again?

I hope we’re inspired you to have another go. There have been some short vintages that mean prices rise as the smaller volumes pass through the supply chain. But Chablis is still one of the classic wines of the world.

What is petit Chablis? It’s the overpriced plonk the French won’t buy.

I’d (respectfully!) disagree. It’s a misunderstood wine. It’s a lighter, aperitif wine from different terroir. There are times when the intensity of village Chablis (that mineralogy) isn’t what people are looking for. I hope I’ve dug out a couple of great examples for people to try here
