Many of you know me as an engineer at Google by day, but I have always been keen on aviation since I was a teenager. I have tried most forms of flight now, and Wing Walking had been on my bucket list for a while. I finally did it - and not the easy version where you are strapped in on top of wing before take off and stay in one position, but actually walking about on the flying aeroplane by climbing out the cockpit mid flight as it should be! 1930s style. Join me on my adrenaline pumping adventure into this unique training course at Mason Wing Walking Academy in Sequim, Washington - the only place left in the world who still trains wing walkers. The best experience of my life to date as far as personal interests and hobbies go and if you are thinking about it, just book already, you will not regret it. A wonderful family run business, by folk who really care about the sport and your safety. You will practice for hours beforehand learning how to step on the very delicate plane from the 1940s! One step in the wrong position and you will go through the wing as it is made of fabric to keep it light, as such you will see how I very carefully step on about 1 inch square black rectangles on the wing to avoid this. Sounds easy but with 60+ MPH winds attacking you from all angles it is quite the challenge. If I can do it though, so can you, I did not do any special training for this other than the training on the day, I am not a regular extreme sports person like many others who were there, in fact I was probably least qualified for this adventure, but I was passionate about it and what I lacked in physical ability I made up with determination to figure it out and push through pulling the odd muscle here and there - highly advise you do stretches before starting your training! As you get up on top for the first time and realize you just climbed up on top of an aircraft mid flight, with no parachute (as that is actually more dangerous), and see the world below you it brings a strong sense of beauty and peace - even as you start doing some amazing aerobatics, I felt calm the entire time due to the amazing training on the ground, and could not help but have a giant smile as I saw the world from a whole new perspective. As you pull out the turns and dives you feel the g-force which as others who are far more experienced than me said "it makes rollercoasters and skydiving feel tame", it is a life changing experience, and remember you are holding yourself on to the pole on the outer wing throughout this - no straps on that one. You get back to the ground, look back at the video footage, and realize fully your accomplishment. You just walked on the wing top and outer wing of a flying airplane and you didn't fall off. Well done fine sir, James Bond would be proud, because even he has special effects to pull of his stunts in movies, where as none are used here. Just you, the world, and a beast of a machine ready to give you the best experience of your life. Highly recommend. Do it before you are too old to do so, or incase they one day stop flying, they are after all the only place left to do this. For those thinking there is one in the UK - there is sort of but you start on top of the wing so you are not actually climbing out in the air mid flight, which let's face it, is not true wing walking. This is the only place to experience true wing walking in such a compressed timescale. Good luck fellow wing walkers, and do tag me / comment on this video if you join this elite club of the few who do it.

Haha! Promise this is 100% real - no post processing other than cutting between 2 views on the video to make it more interesting to watch

Thanks Harsh! I was surprised by how calm I was when up there as I was concentrating so hard on my movements.

I went skydiving a few weeks ago. A few days ago I rode my bicycle downhill at 43 mph. I want to do this next. Good video. Thank you 👍🏼
