Wingman of the road Tent and Camping Gear on a MUTT 250cc Scrambler
This is not our normal vlog, its a edited down version from one of our main vlogs that shows the Wingman of the Road motorcycle camping tent on a Mutt Ft Sabbath 250cc Motorcycle Scrambler along with other motorcycle camping kit. In this vlog we test out the tarp that comes with the tent as a picnic blanket, make some coffee, setup the tent and test it out plus so much more.

I seen you on your bike yesterday, I was waving but I don't think you seen us. I was by Karma surf surfboards with Jess. Then tonight you were walking up from the surf with your yellow bodyboard and fins. But we were next to Blue Reef 😂. Not stalking, honestly. Jilly scares me 😂 😂

I was speaking to Shaz about adding a bike rack on the van so we can cary a bike. I am thinking the Mutt 250cc. Do you recommend the bike? It looks fantastic. The tent looks like fun. Keep living the dream 👍

Glad you guys are enjoying this. It's from our main vlog on a Sunday at 1:15pm. I just took that section and edited down just for them that'd interested in the tent, the kitchen etc. It's a amazing tent and kit, highly recommended. 👍

I can't to to see the surf movie. Is this the tent you talked about in the vlog? The one you using in the surf movie? Just need the board on the bike now.

Well, I got the Toucan. I know that the name implies that two people are supposed to fit in there, but I am absolutely not convinced. 90 cm of width are just about right for myself (I am a bit larger). It is an investment, but really seems worth it. That it is made of canvas is very important to me. Since we have our big canvas house tent (for car camping only), I really have trouble sleeping in anything nylon or polyester. I might try to put it on a cot. It a bit difficult for me getting off the ground.

These are amazing kit, been a few years since I recorded this and it still looks new. Me and my wife actually slept in this one together haha. It was a tight squeeze. But canvas is amazing, I have a few sleep setups but canvas is my favorite.

kool..I would lean the bike away from me for fear of the kickstand sinking into the grass and the bike falling

Yeah, that is a thing. It does happen. I use what's called a Puck, it just distributes the weight and stops that happening. However, if the site was super soft I would not use it or find a rock or something. In the video I round a corner of lighter grass. That was the first spot I was going to camp but that'd what the issue was there. It would have sank. Tbh you can do it either way. Thanks for watching dude 🤙

Haha, nah, it's like a oval disk, only a few quid online or free with motorcycle magazines quite often. They work too. You can get larger feet for the kickstand also which does the same job.

Defo looks a better quality tent (and a better fit for your bike) that the tent you had for Whitby 10 years ago. The doors on each side are a much better idea that the end door style. The material looks well nice, is it blackout inside when all closed up? I think the only problem I'd have with the tent (coz I reckon it'd be good for on the MTB if it wasn't for this particular issue), is after seeing Jill lying in it, I'm WAY too tall for it :-( lol I'll have to stick with my 5man (or one me) tent, lol ;-)

Aww, it's pretty long but I don't know the length tbh. Yes it's black out. The canvas is amazing quality and so is the leather,. The zips are very bulky, thick quality zips. Whole thing is quality tbh. Definitely better than the one I had at whitby haha.

Hey mate great channel In Oz’ here but beginning motorcycle learning journey this week! And I love this a jap engine in a British styled bike! It’s perfect . Im 5’4 or 5’5 will I be able to handle this bike ? Thanks :)

Thanks for watching, checking out the channel. I am 5.8ft and I can sit nicely on it. You can adjust the ride hight via that rear springs also. It's an epic bike. I love it and highly recommend Mutt Motorcycles. 🤙

No worries, it's not a megga amount of adjustment compared to bikes that have adjustable rider hight. But it's enough to get you feet closer to the floor. Once you pass your test, give one a test ride. I know Mutt looks to be pretty big over there. Good luck with the bike test. 😉 🤙

Amazing, well go steady, keep it rubber side down 😉 and if I could give you any advice. I will say what my instructor told me many years back., "treat everyone on the road as if they are serial killers, they are all out to kill you, you must survive". He said that and he is right. Head on a swivel, always looking. If you look at them in that way, you will be OK. 👍

Yo, thanks for the watch and comment. It's actually not the wingman version, technically. The company they buy them off make there own without the hotplate and chopping board and it cost £17 on amazon. Which is a massive difference in price for identical kit.

🫣 a light hearted review on the wingman,the idea is good but it’s just an impractical tent option imo,the pack down size is huge,a jet boil would have boiled in 90 secs, all the best guys 👏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿✊KTF

It's definitely a big size. I think it's like all camping kit. You have your traditionalists that love canvas, steal and heavy kit. Then you have others that live the light weight and titanium stuff. They definitely have a market and so far this kit has been well used and it's outlasted my lightweight kit. But I would definitely not hike with it. But as a base camp tent its amazing. I actually put it in the 4x4 and take it wild camping and off-roading. Have an epic one 🤙

What about fire hazard with open ish fires

Just comes down to common sense and local rules of the land. Depending on where you are etc. Some places allow off the floor fires, some allow fire pits. You can dig out the earth slightly and then use it, once done a cool, you can lay the earth back so you leave no trace. As for the tent, it's solid, canvas is the ultimate when it comes to sparks off the fire landing in ut, such as pine spitting etc. Not worried about the tent and fire. But the land especially in the dry heat could be bad if common sense is jot used. 🤙
