Oswald Boelke and Max Immelman still influence aviation and aerial warfare. The Immelman Turn is a staple of aerobatics and BFM. Another awe inspiring build by the way.

Of all the modeling sites I've been to, yours is the best. Your techniques go above and beyond what the others do, and they produce some really fine work. I'd be proud to have this plane displayed in my room. Also, thanks for the low key music and the informative narration. Sometimes the music can be grating on other sites. All in all, your end product looks the most authentic. Great work.

Thankyou that's really great feedback! I didn't expect when I started the channel to get as much support for my work as I have, it's really heartening. This build was my best work yet and i am proud of it ! There was one stage just after decals where i thought it was going the other way but it all pulled together with weathering . Thanks again it means a lot !

Awesome build. That model looks stunning !! Do not forget these airplanes had engines with a total-loss oil system. Castor oil was injected with the fuel, the oil turned almost black and was thrown out, along with the spent fuel. The oil ended up on the underside of the airplane, all along the underside of the fuselage !! Up to TWO gallons of castor oil per HOUR came out of these engines, causing these airplanes to get dirty, oily, VERY quickly. You have built an old, weathered airplane with an almost clean underside. This is historically impossible, considering the huge amounts of black oil these engines were throwing out....!! If you see the underside of an old airplane, after a bad landing f.i., and the underside is clean, you can rest assured the airplane was still new !! ;-)

Your work is ....well, just impressive. You have a great intuition as you make your way through the process, your a artist in the first degree. Your work is brilliant and nothing short of a masterpiece. Thanks for sharing.

Daniel many thanks, it must be frustrating to not be able to Rig, I'm glad this scratches the itch for you !
@danielwilliams39944 жыл бұрын
@@lpjmodels thank you . It is indeed frustrating. I substitute with wwii and jets. Which is ok, but wwi is Mt first love. I'm thinking of using your painting techniques on the Airfix 1/72 eindecker. Although a tiny model I can still paint and rigging is not readily apparent in that scale. Then again on bigger aircraft I could just go old school and use thread. Those turnbuckles and stretch cable really look awesome on this aircraft.

Nice video. When I built the Fokker EIII I sprayed the cowlings with Revell Metalizer aluminum in rattle can then went back over the surface with a brush using the same paint decanted into a paint lid. Though they are the same paint there was just enough contrast in the two applications to make a convincing pattern. I imagine it would work with Alclads paints too.
@lpjmodels4 жыл бұрын
Thanks ! I tried painting the swirls with different Metallics and masking with frisket but I had trouble with the Metallics not flowing ( unfortunately I couldnt find an enamel ) and when my patience got the better of me they ended up a bit big. Maybe the revell stuff was the awnser! If I see any at shows I'll get some and give it a go thanks !
