In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov shares with you the winning attacking plan for White in the Italian Game which happens after the opening moves: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4. And Black usually responds with 3...Bc5 which is the Giuoco Piano or with 3...Nf6 which is the Two Knights Defense.
Both these main variations lead to similar positions and the position after 4.d3 is one of the most common positions. And that's the position where a lot of the amateur and club players make common errors or play very simple moves and lose the game eventually.
However, in this video you will learn the winning attacking plan for White in the Italian Game. GM Igor Smirnov will show you how to execute this aggressive attack against many variations and setups of Black. One of these examples include the game played by the former world champion Garry Kasparov!

At my level (1000-1100) pawn to h3 often ends up with capturing the knight on f3 and recapturing the bishop w the g pawn or the queen. Rarely does the bishop retreat. I'm curious to see the theory after that exchange

All chess KZfaqrs keep repeating that "giuoco piano" means "quite game", but while that's one possible meaning of "piano", it is clearly not the one meant here, since "piano" in that sense would be an adverb, thus would not work with "giuoco" being a noun. Instead, "giuoco piano" clearly means "plain game".
