Gosh I enjoy this podcast. It really illustrates the depth of thought Gus gives to the game as a manager of football and footy pundit. Listen to how he spoke about how he motivates players. It’s bigger than stats and money, it’s about what it means to us. Tactics and stats come into it, but overall… if you can figure out how to motivate people about how to achieve something that means more than what they are worth $$ you can all be a part of a success. As someone who works as a manager of a team of people; what Gus talks about is actually quite useful

That analysis by gus on player mindset and attitude at the start was spot on, like often we forgot that these players have lives and that their not robots that just play rugby league. That there is many different factors which go into what a player does in deciding their contract and how theyre going to play from different values, whay they want in the future, club culture etc. It was too good to listen to

That's very interesting about fifita because his partner is from Penrith but plays for the dragons and also interesting that both Penrith and dragons are both losing backrowers but Penrith have got the money to do it, just imagine he does to Penrith to play along side cleary omg I know they are losing api but man

how do all? i'ld see scott boulton and kane linnett, [ cowboys ], when onfield either one or both usually in every offence and defence set though probably paid poorly for the fantastic work ethic they contributed, and gavin cooper keeping jt on the paddock. why not every player in a team get even money of 80% of cap and each week and the players pick 1st 2nd and 3rd best divied up for remaining 20% weekly. across whole roster. taztez.

Fair comment, however it’s the players managers/ agents who get involved. The more money they can get for their players the more they get.

Gus to me is an educated person who's factual by experience and who cares. Looking forward to knowledge being expressed by being like a boss as usual within. Nearly died because he seen a brown snake. It’s a brown snake you get bitten by one of them and go to hospital to get treated you’ll be back at work the next morning. Never ceases to amaze me the stupidity of people because of what they hear on the news

Gould knows nothing but talking crap, and every time he does it’s with some agenda. Somehow he thinks he’s the most powerful man in Australia…the game wouldn’t miss a beat if he walked away 😂
