Prager and Glenn take a field trip down the street to visit their friend Anne Holden who works at the Gladstone Institutes, where one of their scientists, Dr. Shinya Yamanaka, just won the 2012 Nobel Prize for Medicine. The prize was awarded for his 2007 discovery of how to turn back the biological clock-by transforming ordinary adult skin cells into cells that, like embryonic stem cells, can develop into virtually any type of cell in the body. Gladstone research scientists Kathryn Ivy, Kimberly Cordes and Mark White explain how they use this award-winning discovery in their own research-revealing this technology's boundless potential for treating, preventing and ultimately curing some of the world's most deadly diseases.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT. THIS BLEW MY MIND. I suffer from Chronic Pancreatitis (7yr), Non-Alcoholic Liver Disease, Diabetes, and this gives me hope. No cures or fixes currently for me. Prager did a phenomenal job interviewing! That blonde girl is hot and geeky.

For a second there, i thought you were talking about the Nobel Popularity Prize which is annually given to murderers, theorists, killers and other assorted psychopaths when it doesnt go to giant PR sucking asskissers. luckily, the writeup cleared that up and ends up being the scientific one. it was very good (surpriisingly) show.
