(It was developed so illiterate Christians could meditate on the life of Christ everyday.) 2) Where in the bible does it say that everything is in the Bible? When does Jesus even suggest Sola Scriptura? Jesus gave his Apostles power to heal, perform miracles and forgive sins. He gave them authority. They passed this along to their successors like Paul. The majority of Christians worldwide ( Catholic, Orthodox, Marionite etc) follow apostolic tradition of 2000 years lead by the successors of Peter and the Apostles. Diablo means "one who scatters" Until the 16th Century, all Christians were Apostolic and unified in our belief in the Eucharist, the Sacraments etc. Today, the Protestant movement has resulted in a minority of Christians falling under a non-apostolic ( bible only ) umbrella made up of 4500+ denominations that can't even agree on the Trinity - much less marriage between man an a woman, predestination, In Vitro fertilization or purgatory.

Oh no... I am upset to hear him mention Carl Jung and he mentions "psychologized Judeo-Christianity"? This is of the mouth of Satan himself. Please hear me out: Carl Jung which he mentions, is the grandson of a Freemason and he is a heretic occultist and actual and well-documented demon worshipper that said Christ is just a symbol and it is time to replace the Age Of Christ with a new God, which was instructed to him by demons that visited him of which one of them was Abraxas (which is like or even the same as Baphomet). Carl Jung did not believe Christ walked in the flesh but was just an idea, and teaches everyone that the Trinity is faulty and it should include Satan. An inversion! He also teaches that God wants us to sin. And he teaches that Christ himself is a sinner: "In 1918, Jung argued that Christianity had suppressed the animal element ("On the unconscious," CW 10, §31). He elaborated this theme in his 1923 seminars in Polzeath, Cornwall. And Jordan praises Carl Jung all the time! I just cannot take Jordan serious because of that. He never quotes Christ, but does quote Jung, the Anti-Christ. Carl Jung is the man is who taught Jordan Peterson a soul-corrupting psychology. Carl Jung said that Christianity should be replaced with his occultic fraternity with his own disciples, to infiltrate the churches, to which people then go to confession to heal their souls (for good money). This became the church of psycho-analysis that replaced confession to Christian priests!!! Jungian psychologists teach that all is just a myth, equally worship Pinocchio as the Bible. They teach a mix of magic, pantheism and paganism and free masonry! Carl Jung had deep hatred for Christianity and did the most heretical things like necromancy, spiritism, idol-worship, channeling of spirits, teaches people to this day on how to become a medium and invent their own spirit guides or how to talk to the dead. He teaches how to get rid of the Bible, commandments therein, and to then trust your own Self only who he promises becomes God with Jung's occultic practices. Jordan Peterson should repent of that false Church and accept Jesus as His Savior! He is close but he is in the grips of Jungian though, that leads people away from the truth. I do credit Jordan Peterson for his biblical series which introduced me to Christ. But it took me years to accept Him as my Lord after being deep into Jung's occultism myself. Christ showed me how corrupting and devious Jung is and am now writing about it a lot. Jung allowed himself to be possessed by The Devil. And almost no one knows this... Carl Jung wrote: "I imagine a far finer and more comprehensive task for [psychoanalysis] than alliance with an ethical fraternity. The verse of Jeremiah 11:14 is, apart from applying to Jeremiah's own day, very much about the Passion. Perhaps then, it is indicating the futility of praying for those who are in hell for non repenting the Crucifixion (see v.19 for the "lamb", and v.23 for this being about a specific visitation). But after that, the Book of Jeremiah shows tenderness, calling to repentance, so that the sons not be punished for the sins of the fathers. Whoever refuses God to the end, will be damned. But we do not know who they are, nor when the end is, so we can always pray -- and the Church must -- for all who are alive. In the end, the Jews will convert (see "If You Believed Moses (Vol 1)" if you have an inclination for it). God bless.

At one level I agree with you: certainly life is hard, so there can be a folly in seeking out suffering (which backfires badly if done from pride). Even so, there are crosses which we cannot avoid and there are crosses we may choose. The first are better for our souls, as they come from God. If we submit to them in a spirit of sacrifice they make us holy. On the other hand, the ones we choose, if done prudently and humbly, are excellent practice for carrying those other crosses which we do not choose. For example, fasting on Fridays and in Lent is a perfect discipline which helps those who do it to achieve / maintain temperance, including chastity. Making a pilgrimage helps clear our soul of distractions. Getting up early helps our prayer life and sense of closeness to God. Hope this helps. Blessed Advent.

You know, quite a few people throw that accusation around. It is often seems to be that when they discover someone is less than perfect, not quite the Messiah, not all knowing and all powerful, then write them off as controlled opposition. Who is left? Who remains that seeks and fights for truth? Nobody living whose name can be recognised. It is a way of giving up. Just accuse everyone out there of being controlled opposition, pat oneself on the back for understanding what no one else seems to get, be pleased with the feeling that you are one of the very few who is not controlled... and what? Useless. How about cut people some slack who are willing to get into the arena. Don't expect them to be Jesus Christ. There is only One Messiah. The rest of us are works in progress. Sorry if I am too hard on you, but this "controlled opposition" accusation is out of hand. It is also corrosive, because in the end the message is "Do not trust anyone, everyone is a deceiver". So if we are attentive to these -- do our best to understand and live them -- then we need not be disorientated by the confusion of the world or fearful of sinister play by others. No one can rip God's sheep from His Hand. We need to make regular examinations of conscience, and regular Confession, because we can always stray. But other people cannot force us to stray. As I trust Jesus when He says "I am the truth", and we find this statement has depths and depths and depths, then we are secure in Christ. Then we can listen to people who do not yet know Him like that. And some of them are much more interesting than others. And we can be glad when RB & JP say things which are true, or reaching toward it, without fearing that we are going to lose the Faith because we hear people who do not profess it. I have every reason to think you are of good will. Jesus has given us plenty of warnings in the Gospel of various dangers. Do not be afraid that some technological beast can prevent us from hearing Him. Then whatever remains, we fear not who can kill the body, but Him Who "can destroy both soul and body in hell". It is true that 'controlled opposition' exists, and that much of the 'news' is theatre meant to distract us. But there are two ways of becoming victim to this deception: one is to believe the lies, the other is to lose confidence that there is truth out there, that people are made for truth and hunger for it. I've been so wrong on so many things in my life that I am not ready to write people off just because they seem to have some things very wrong. Doesn't mean I am their disciple, just that it is worth entering the conversation. Anyway, don't know if I am helping or making things worse now.
