Fellow Toastmasters, thank you for your wonderful feedback about the first part of this workshop. I received so many requests that I decided to post the second part as well. Hopefully, it helps with your speeches.

Thanks David, I just won the area contest and I was watching this prior to competing. I look forward to embrace my nervousness and keep that fun involved!

This and the previous video was what helped me to get third place in my District contest this year. Thank you, David!! :)

That's fantastic! My rule is that if you can place at District, you can win District. If you can win district then you can speak well enough to win the world championship. The key is figuring out how to communicate in a way that is unique as you are. We all have that ability; we just have to figure out how.

I love to speak and listen to other people's speeches. It energizes my spirit, fills my soul of hunger to learn more. I had just returned to Toastmasters Club and it makes me feel "alive" than ever before. Thank God, for allowing us to know, "the magical growth process", we will gain from joining, the Toastmasters Club.

@@reachoneandall Conversely, PussyGalore is a huge David Henderson fan! My contest run just ended prematurely cause I got time disqualified and what you said in this video hit me hard. It means I didn't practice enough! I was wondering whether you do coaching or is there a private channel that I can contact you with, I've studied lots of other WC speeches but I think I resonated with you the most. Love to hear from you soon.

Thank you for your generosity and advise on the composition of the making speeches, focusing on someone else of the hero or heroine in the speech. I am really new, second month in but would like to progress further. I was never advised as a child to speak and told to be quiet and the bullying got worse as one get solder especially if you are conscious of not being able to speak effectively and succinctly. Your methods are the best and I will certainly be using your formula . It is also wonderful to hear the great love story too. Thanks

Dear not so ungorgeous girl. I sometimes play a game when I travel. I look at people and i ask myself "What would their lovers see in them?" When I use that lens everybody - no matter how old, what size or hairdo - everybody looks beautiful. Therefore I know you are. But more importantly: Thoughts shape who you are. Do gift yourself with a different username please. It will benefit you! Warmest Friederike

Thank you so much, Frank! I'm glad it helped you. Let me know how your contest goes. Competing changed my life. Winning the contest was nice but what I really love is how much it helped improve my life. My wedding vows and my eulogy of my father were more meaningful because of what I learned. I thankful I was able to share it with you.

Is the "Mentor" the same as the litterary tactic of "Fifth Business?" Neither the hero or the heroin, not the villain or the confidant, but that element (or character) that is needed to bring the play to denouement.? I guess that I don't see how every story has to have a mentor, but I will go back and look for mentors in the stories that I know personally and theoretically. Thank you for the challenge.
