Alex Haywood, co-founder of AXIA Futures does a great job going through the debrief of this senior trader. What does it take to face that feeling of big disappointment when we underperform? How can we keep the confirmation bias in check, when we feel we deserve to be rewarded. There is no deserving in this game and when markets go quiet, we should double down on our prep. It can be counterintuitive at times, but preparation leads to a higher degree of satisfaction with the process we all aspire to follow.

Very nice to share this with us ,i relate to this 100%.I can see how trading is very much like playing high level sport and the goal is to keep improving and learning ,sometimes the best lessons comes from our mistakes and it s ok to make mistakes as long as you learn and adapt and you no longer make it .I struggle with making the same mistakes but guess what i have similar behavior in my real life so we can say trading is really connected to life in a sens that it is our ability and mental flexibility that can help us overcome a bad habbit or a thinking pattern that has it s roots in past trauma . Well than k you and i love to see more videos like this >Hope to join a career course some time next year .Cheers

I was just thinking about this yesterday. How I undervalue preparation, and more importantly, psychological preparation before executing a trade. How nice to see that even though he had an outstanding day, he still underperformed in his mind, where I would have been ecstatic. That's probably a big part of the difference between the top 1% and the rest. I have been noticing any emotional rise before, during, and after a trade and really trying to understand why it occurred and if I can practice separating the emotion from the process.

is there anything positive about trading really? getting ripped off by the broker then later in the queue is the government wanting their share and you're left with peanuts,it should be the other way around the broker and gov should be the ones making the peanuts since they provide the least value to their clients, not the risk-taker. I've lost faith in this bs, middle finger to all middle men.
