Hell Yes. That bloody Jabcinda Chirpy and gang trying to make NZ look good on the world renewables platform meanwhile shipping in shit coal when our guys could be making a decent living mining Our Own Coal. These bloody environmentalists and the woke & Greenies really need to take a common sense look at utilising our own resources, Until such time we have sustainable renewable energy. Until then weare just being showoffs on the world stage.

It's not outrageous to mine coal and extract gas. It is normal or should be normal behaviour for any country with reserved to use to best advantage. Sick and tired of the woke people who have no idea what it takes to run a country. Hats off to Shane Jones and Peter's. They are making the alternative case and need the whole country's support

How about our coal making a profit for NZ. Export it? Put the profit into current powered generators in the likes of Cook Strait? You know . . clean, reliable . . . prove it's worthy and then make generators profit for NZ? It's never ALL or NOTHING, intelligent ideas, even small ones quite often lurk in strange places. Even here in NZ.

Not viable anymore. NZ should try to become self sufficient before adding foreign markets into the equation. However, don't forget the unfortunate sacrifice coal has on its citizens. Nuclear is safer for its community in the longterm.

Word is.. NZ is unable to use it's own coal due to it burns to hot for the industries setup therefore sub-bituminous coal is imported to do the job. Simple fix is.. NZ is river rich therefore dam it up & go hydro.. or a lake at the top of the hill and a lake at the bottom with a turbine inbetween.. so during low peck times, use this unused power to pump the same water back up the hill to recycle.. job done. or drill two holes deep deep deep into the earth & pump water into one hole then steam comes out of the other hole due to the earths core heat.. add a turbine & what do you know.. job done.
