Welcome to our journey that combines the enchanting beauty of Japan's winter landscapes with its rich cultural heritage and modern marvels. Over the next 14 days, we will experience the magic of Japan in winter, visiting places from the bustling streets of Tokyo to the serene Rissyakuji Temple (Yamadera) and Hagurosan Gojunoto (Five Story Pagoda), the beautiful snow-covered peak of Mount Fuji and Mount Zao, the tranquil hot springs in Ginzan Onsen, and the extensive collection of jellyfish in Kamo Aquarium.
Day 2 (this video):
- Tenku no Torii: Most famous Torii gate in the sky with over one million likes, this is the perfect Mount Fuji photo. Massive red gate framed with Mount Fuji perfectly against the clear blue sky
- Kawaguchi Asama Shrine: right at the entrance to Tenku no Torii, perfect place to visit after visiting the most famous Torii gate in Mt Fuji
- Hoto Fudo (Higashikoiji): the most delicious udon noodles and horse meat sashimi, eating it once is definitely not enough!
- Fuji Omuro Sengen Shrine: the oldest shrine in Mt Fuji area, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site
- Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine: Another UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site with the largest forest shrine in Mt Fuji
- Lake Kawaguchi: hidden photo spot with Lake Kawaguchi Great Bridge and Mt Fuji in the background. Standing by the water, I watched the sky transform into a canvas of colors, ending my day with a sense of fulfillment and wonder.
- 7 Eleven dinner: cooked our own dinner and enjoy the local food, beef ribs, tonkatsu ramen, chawamushi, sake
