To get a soggy free pizza bottom place pie on wire rack and put aluminum foil directly below to catch the drippings.

Hey Timmy, I’m pretty sure you know about this, but if you don’t, I’m going to share. To prevent your diesel fuel from gelling, use Power Service - Diesel Fuel Supplement + Cetane Boost Winterizer/ Antigel. It prevents your diesel from gelling. Starting you rig won’t prevent the diesel from gelling in your tank. I was in Northern New Hampshire skiing and it got down to -23F one night and my diesel fuel gelled. I put in a bottle of Power Service 911 in my tank to de-gel it but my fuel filter was frozen like an ice cube. I ended up having it towed home and had to put it in a garage for 2 days until everything thawed. Now I use that stuff every winter and I don’t have any more gelling issues. Hope this helps.

Feel your (freezing) pain…your set up with the heater, etc is boss! Just a small hack for your paper towel holder is to get a piece of metal banding strap and bend it so it springs against the towels, it will hold it in place, but still lets you take off a piece.

As an outdoor food enthusiast, I would give you the advise that you should consider getting cast iron pans or griddles. That would have made cooking the pizza so much easier. And you can use them over a camp fire, unlike the non-stick pans. They are super cheap, but they are heavy, but oh so worth it.

Have a similar truck and diesel. I carry a cheap quilted moving blanket that is large enough to fit over the hood and reaches down over the grill. I will throw it over the hood and strap it down with a 20 ft bungee cord I made. Make sure the bungee cord holds the blanket down over the grill so it does not flap around in the breeze. This insulates and seals the air in the engine compartment. Makes a significant difference in how fast the engine cools off on those cold days. Hood should be pretty dry and clean or it can freeze on nicely. Have been over the Duffy many times. Some big hills up and down. Spectacular scenery on a clear day. Glad you made it safely

I don't know much about stuff but could you have just put the pizza on the piece of foil and skipped the pan? I used to put those frozen pizzas on a pan, but then I tried just putting it directly on the rack. Way better results. The crust gets a thin crispy section on the outside, but stays soft inside. It also cooks faster. You might like it.

The state (province) said it was impossible so for years there was no road out.
