I would stack bales NW to SE. The snow usually falls with wind in the SE then it switches and blows the snow from the NW. This way it wouldn't pile up snow on or near the bale row. Never done it, just seems logical.

Had gear box freeze up solid once moisture had seaped into it through the drive shaft and it turned into block of ice.

Check the gear boxes for water content water from rain and normal heat and cooling condensation will build up in them

I bet the tractor came with the bin sight when the farmer bought all those bins. Looks to be a 13 inch but could be 16. I don’t think her boss is a cat man form what I know of him
