@StreemOutdoors
@StreemOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Awesome, the Middle Provo is a ton of fun! Midges are hatching and Blue Winged olives should be hatching soon if it ever warms up a little 😂. I’d be sure to have all stages of midges and BWO but keep them small (sizes 18-22). These fish are highly pressured so down size your tippet as well. Good luck!

I’ll be honest I haven’t fished it for a few weeks but the nice thing about the middle provo is that it’s a tail water controlled by Jordenalle dam… flows are at about 200 cfs which is good fishing flows 👍

I am fishing the rio grande river by my grandparents house but the unfrozen parts of the river seem to be 1-2 foot deep at max. I have been wondering if targeting slow moving sections would be the best way to catch fish? any thoughts
@StreemOutdoors
@StreemOutdoors 2 жыл бұрын
Not to familiar with the rio grande but I would try and find deeper water which might be hard to do with it being frozen… those fish still need to feel protected which is what the deeper water does. Slow (walking pace) & deep water is the ticket for winter time.
