Kevin, when I was a young mother of 4 and couldn't afford to paint, I used to watch Bob Ross on PBS and dream of some day having the time and money to participate in the "joy"! As time marched on, other obligations on the farm and with family simply crowded out my spare time, with the acception of a quilting hobby. But last Christmas one of our daughters totally surprised me with a gift of canvases, brushes, and a bunch of acrylic paints! Even though she didn't realize that the medium I was watching all those years ago was in oils, I was understandably touched that she never forgot how much I longed to paint when she was a very young girl. That gift prompted me to search the web and find your work. It's an understatement to say that I'm blown away by the gorgeous sceneries you create on canvas in both mediums! And since God has blessed us so abundantly, after I use up all my acrylic paint, I look forward to trying my hand at oils, with the inspiration I have received from you, and the encouragement from my daughter. Thank you, and keep up the beautiful work!

Incredible, good usage of cold colors and balancing the contrast makes the environment look misty and calm! The soft colors just sticks to the painting very lovely, and one more thing, I love your misty-shadow part specifically, that was out of the mind!

Kevin, fantastic painting with soft winter colors! Love your winter scenes a lot for their softness and beautiful color contrasts. Little comment about highlight on the front evergreens. The pink highlight for counter light went too far to the left in the area where there is surely a shadow and highlight is impossible. That broke this tree out of the light condition of the entire painting.
