HELLO FRIENDS! Thanks for watching our VINTAGE WINTER HOME TOUR, Part 2, of our KITCHEN & DINING Room sharing thrifted décor from Goodwill, Family Pathways and Legacy Thrift stores. You will enjoy the relaxing music too! We hope your winter has been tolerable, and beautiful!
We've always loved thrifting for our vintage MCM furniture, lighting, dishes and accessories to use and decorate our home since 2005. Our home is constantly changing as we find more vintage items at antique and thrift stores in MN and WI. We are very GRATEFUL for your support and wish you and yours a blessed year!
With appreciation,
Peggy Lou and Norm

Thank you for all you do. It brightens my day and inspires me in my collecting and decorating. Many times I find things and say “Norm will spray paint it for me.” My husband now has the nickname Norm any time he helps with one of my projects. Don’t be discouraged with your pain. If decorating for valentines is too much, your viewers will understand. I enjoyed the compilation videos of pictures from past decor. ❤

I've had the loveliest hour touring your kitchen and dining room! Your kitchen is always my favorite. I have a few of the items you have and it's so fun seeing them so artfully displayed. Your house needs to be a coffee table book displaying each season with its unique decor. I love it! Take care of yourselves. Your channel has brought me a lot of happiness.

So beautiful! I don’t see how you organize and store it all. You do have those wonderful basements that we don’t have in Texas. Anyway, you do a great job of displaying all these beauties and I know how hard it is to clean and dust. Thanks for the beautiful video!

Every item is lovelier than the one before. The blue and white color way is wonderful. My favorite items are those lucite pinecones but everything is so fun to see and learn about.

Where to start? The Pyrex plus shelf wall is just spectacular. Love the light blues, your attention to detail, the washi tape addition is worth to frustration-really pleasing to the eye. The appeal of the snowmen & women for me is in the colors and especially their faces-love the ones with crazy eyelashes. I don’t think you have memory problems at all; you remember thousands of details about thousands of items-really impressive. You and Norm put so much of yourselves into your home, and are so kind to share it with us. Love to you both!

Another fun tour. I really enjoyed seeing the same molds together that were painted differently. Your attention to detail always amazes me. You have such fun collections. One of my very favorite things you have are the glass platters in the window. Beautiful.

I remember seeing those tree candy jars in the stores in the 80's and 90's. I didn't buy them then because I was poor. LOL But I sure appreciate them now.😊

Hi Barb! I wanted you to know that your big box of gifts arrived yesterday! I'm so excited! I'm saving opening everything until I can video it for you. Norm opened the top, and we peeked in it! Ohhhh my goodness!!! It's full of presents! What a big surprise! 😃 Thank you so much, Barb❣️ I've been a bit tired yesterday and today, and I need to wash my hair. I've got to be in the mood to prepare for a video. I usually get more dressed up and fuss over makeup, etc. Not that it helps my old face much. But if you wouldn't mind, I'd just not show myself while opening your kind gifts. I would upload the video to YT and make it Private, then share the link with you. I've received friend mail multiple times over the years, but only shown myself in one video a year ago. I'm just too uncomfortable now about my deep facial wrinkles. I don't know who all that I've reminded, but I'm going to be 75 next month. Norm will also turn 77 next week! THANKS SO MUCH, BARB!!🤗❤️

I have a couple of the turqouise and white snow flake Pyrex dishes. I have rectangle and a divided dish and I think an open oval baking dish. I just scored a white with the blue divided dish in early January. Such fun to use them all after Christmas for Winter. I already put them away and brought out Valentine colors. I have some of the JAJ English Pyrex with a red coral snowflake oval bakers mixed wit Pink daisy and some of the black Pyrex with white snowflakes. I like the stack of three together. So much fun to collect but I'm starting to run out of space for storage. Going to have to let some things go this year to make room for all the Pyrex I've acquired.❤

Thank you for sharing your decor. I know it is so much work to move things around and clean only to discover what you had started a couple of days before already needs dusting again. Then I'm sure before the video you probably dust and clean again because I don't see a speck of dust. So much effort you and Norm take to put these videos up. I really appreciate them. 😊

My parents had the gingham anchor hocking salt and pepper in the 70's but theirs was a sort of mustard color with white gingham. (Being the 70's it was probably harvest gold. LOL) What a blast to see those again in a different color!

Vat dyed means that the threads were dyed before the weaving of the cloth. Hand printing is done by the silkscreen method. A silk or silk like sheer fabric is attached to the wood frame. The print is applied to the screen in reverse like a photo negative. A blocking liquid is applied to the negative space. Ink is then applied and once placed on the ground fabric, is forced through the screen with a tool similar to a squeegee. Every change of color has its own screen and is then layered one on top of the other allowing each layer to first dry. The little snowflakes are done with a miniature version of the screen but is done in the same way. Now, big metal rollers are etched and inked and the cloth is run through in full bolts. Each color has its own roller. If you see cloth in the bolts, on the selvage edge there is a color chart of all the colors used to print the fabric.

I agree with your comment that there isn't much to find at thrift stores anymore especially the way they separate the good from the bad. It's turned into a thing where if if it's worth any money and they look online and see then they separate it and of course then it goes into a different area that's more costly. Some of these shows or video people that have these channels and go digging through the bins and all that I can't watch anymore because they're literally taking out junk

Peggy, I am not sure if this has already been mentioned (i did look through the comments) but it looks like the snowman salt and pupper shakers by Holly holiday is in fact Kennox. How cool is that. Porcelain to boot. ⛄❄️
