All our ducks, geese, chickens, turkey, Guinea all been trained to go in at night. So every night we shut them in and in the morning we let them out but we keep the door open with the heaters going in the winter. And here in wisconsin we getting around -10° right now and they seem to do just fine.

I live in Ontario Canada. They will all be fine. We don't heat and they actually seem to do better in the cold than the hot summers. We got to -17 Celsius and everyone was out in the snow rooting around with no issue.

I’m from Michigan and have sent my baby girl off to college down your way at Texas A & M. She called me last night to read the alert that her apt complex sent out about frozen pipes. 22 degrees is almost shorts-wearing weather where I’m from! 😜 When it gets down to -30 with a 20mph wind, then it’s considered cold! 😂😂😂 Glad all your babies will have a nice snuggly place to hunker down but I am secretly waiting for the video in a couple days to see which ones ended up with you & Jami in the house 😂😂😂

Lester you need to put a tarp up or heavy duty plastic to cover the fencing around to chicken coop so the wind doesn’t get them. Also cover the door... you can get it at Home Depot for about 25.00. Just staple it to the wood... good luck

I always had a large coop with a door for my 3 ducks, 2 geese, 2 hens and my Tom turkey to go into every night to keep them safe and also during winter when we got several feet of snow! I filled it with straw and they seemed to like being together. Even when my hens would roost in the trees, I'd called their names and they would fly down to go into their house for the night. Oh my goodness Lester you always make me laugh 😂, you, Jami and Fidel have done an amazing Job over this last month or so getting things ready for the babies, the horse stables are looking great in fact everything is looking great !! That big new barn for the Little’s is just WOW 🤩 if I’m remembering correctly did you say that you are going to build beds for the goats as they like to be up of the ground ? Well over here in west central Scotland we are having weather of -7 Degrees Celsius so it’s darn cold 🥶 and we have snow just now too, hopefully it won’t get too cold for you guys to what your used too, God bless you all 💞

Geese generally do quite well in Winter, but you have to watch their beaks for frostbite. We have a couple hundred, and they shelter in the barn on cold Winter nights, but are generally out and about during the day. We give them extra mealworms during the Winter months. Make sure they have access to water if their water bowls freeze over because they have trouble swallowing without water, and I’ve had to unplug feed from geese nostrils more times than I ever wanted to.

Talk about “pigs in pig heaven”! Awe, Petunia’s place looks good. The heat might bother her ‘pink girl’ complexion. She is soooo sweet. You and those geese!!!! So happy you had all that extra hay. You take such good care of those babies. Horses will stay worm as long as you keep hay available for them to eat. You probably know horses need to eat every 4-6 hours to keep them warm. Thank you for loving your babies.

You can build a shelter house or even put a large dog box out by the pond with hay or bedding inside and the geese and duck's will go in when it's cold or storming. You'll probably have to put a couple different ones out...1 for ducks 1 for geese... Just a suggestion. Sending prayers and well wishes through this cold spell...

When I visit PA and I pass farms during the winter months. They have horses with blankets on them to keep them warmer. Maybe you could invest some of them for the horses.

I love how you care about the fur babies Lester. My 3 cats and 1 dog are all in the house with me. Most of the time they sleep with me too.

The Swans, geese and ducks are still in our Lakes here in Ontario, Canada. They do go on people’s grass but other than that in the lake.

We have ducks & geese. When our pond froze over, the geese kept one area (maybe the size of a hot tub) open. They sheltered at night but were in the open & in the pond during the day. We didn't lose any! God gave them survival skills! They'll be ok!

animals are warmer than we think i worry about my horses but I know they are warm their coat is real long in the winter they acclimate for the winter

The ducks here in Indiana handle the winter snow just fine! They will still go out on the water. How thoughtful of you to put some hay down for them though❤️ the love for your animals comes shining through❤️ I just love winter
