I think this is my favourite compilation on your channel. Interesting enough to listen to but not so interesting that it's distracting from other activities such as reading or other work. 10/10 will listen to on repeat.

It's that no man's land of time,between Christmas and New year. I've been out with friends in a city centre bar. A chill wind sweeps across the boulevards as I walk home alone. Women's laughter carries on the night air. I turn a corner, and there you are with your friends. It really is true,the heart does stand still. We stop and look at each other, across the years. A million images flash across my mind, Small winter hotels,rain on window panes,walks On autumn country roads, laughter in quiet cafes. Intimate strangers now, banal small talk, The gold band on your finger the final heart break. The empty promises to keep in touch. You touch my arm as we say goodbye . I turn the corner, The winter wind colder, The streets lonelier. Only the echo of my footsteps for company.

The things you learn.....a Jewish war hero turning 97 polish decent tells his story today about a horrible France army General in the days of WWII General T. Barbie(spelling incorrect but pronounication correct) who would treat Jews like animals even when they were fighting against Hitler yes even if France and Spain were on the allies side against Hitler Some like that French general would treat Jews who were soilders that way.....Well his story is a great story of "Life" and of finding his true love and having children one that was with him a lawyer from New York today and knowing that his other family members (sisters)were a live and safe with other people who had helped them. Once again ninety seven this 2019.....born between 1922 and 1924. Just a little bit of history.....people might of never known🔦.
