Fishermans knot...same knot used for paracord bracelets or making loops for tarp eyelets..another great usage for an age old knot...Good Job

If you use heavy elastic bands, so the heavy stuff that for sewing and I find I can make a really great system and you can pick up cheap buckles from thrift stores and garage sale and make it fit you so that it sucks to your body and gives you a wider area in your body base depending on how big your knife is

Nice and simple. Maximum utility. I've been looking at more expensive options. However, I have plenty of paracord. Thinking about my ESEE 5, that much weight on a simple cord is fine over a jacket. Curious, have you tried leaving the ends of the two fisherman's knots long and then tying them together, potentially with another set of fisherman's knots, under the opposite arm (so, knife hanging to left, then under right arm). That might balance the weight and keep the cord from eating into your neck. Not necessary with a lighter knife. Going to play with this a bit. Thank you for the great video.

I like the idea, but one question, I see you tied both ends of the cord using what's called a fishermen's knot, so when you adjust to shorten the length of cord by pulling the knots from each other, will the knots lock and stay that way, or will the length increase if the cord is pulled on? I'm looking for quick way to lock and unlock the cord if I'm making any sense.
