Hi I know this comment is very late and long overdue, but I was someone who was hit pretty badly by the 2021 Texas Power Crisis/Texas 2021 Snow Storm. I have a lot of trauma about it and I get worried whenever the weather gets bellow freezing. Yet, I always find myself coming back to this series every time the weather gets bellow freezing. Perhaps it's a strange to watch a horror series, even when I still get scared pretty easily, but I find it a strange comfort and going "It could always be worse, I could have no power AND monsters trying to kill me!". Thank you earnestly for this series to help me cope with a rather traumatic event in my life.

Its kind of unnerving to here someone say "hey, can you help me with this?" But realize that their mouth nor lips are moving when they talk, but this is a very well executed annolog horror. No cheesy jumpscares and it's not too edgy as well and it's a very unique one too. The concept itself is bonechilling too. Good work!

It's brilliant how much you can pick up on a re-watch. Throwing in "The Thing from Another World" not only shows your deep understanding of horror, but serves as foreshadowing that's easy to overlook on first viewing. This is CRIMINALLY underrated. The storytelling, the subtlety, the characters, voices, it’s amazing! Heck, even the ads and television segments in this are 1000x more realistic and correct for their time period than the giant walls of text you see in most other analog horror. The Sid’s ad amazed me how similar it was to real 80s electronic store ads, it was beautifully uncanny. This is truly my favorite AH series of all time, I’ve watched it so many times now and pretty soon I’ll definitely be buying the DVD. Great work, my friend!

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the EXACT details of what happened with it - just a lot of broad statement that channels 70-83 were reassigned by the FCC to the Land Mobile Radio System and new television sets couldn't go past channel 69 at that point. So I'm operating under the assumption that several TV stations could have continued to operate for some time after the reassignment until pressure was put on them to shut down (or just losing money as people slowly lost the ability to see those channels), so Channel 74 may have still been around at that point, but like K83FC they were in their twilight. It's possible that these stations just all shut off simultaneously on a certain date, though I will say that if I do end up making Winter of '84 at some point, any TV station won't be in those upper numbers. =)

But shouldn't this compilation be part of the Winter of '83 playlist? It isn't right now. Also, gee, I wonder where the robot voice for the aliens and the line "You will become like us" came from? Lol I love how so many people in this have a neutral Midwest accent then sporadically a character with an aggressively Minnesotan accent will show up to remind you that this does in fact take place in Minnesota.

As a Minnesotan, what I've noticed is that it tends be older people who have a stronger accent - it's just something we kind of flow into as we get older aside from a few words that might be slightly off (see earlier critiques of my videos where I pronounced room as rum and roof as ruff).

@@AT4W oh I don’t doubt that I live in the northwest part of Iowa so I cross paths with people from Minnesota all the time and I have lots of family that lives there and i know not everyone has such a heavy accent I just genuinely enjoyed that aspect of the video.

This was actually my introduction to analog horror. I enjoyed it so much I started writing a recap page for it on TV Tropes!

Hey man, you hit something good here. Excellent tone and atmosphere. You turned something goofy into a compelling story and you and the team should be proud of that! I got absolutely caught off guard when I heard KaiserNeko's voice in there.

Voice synthesizer specifically designed to replicate the old 80s computer voice (with various settings for pitch and speed), and in the ending bit I slowed it down more. =)

I can remember watching the Entity storyline way back when I was a kid and wishing we could get more horror-styled content from this channel. To this day the line "a piece of the world is missing" sends a slight shiver through me. Years later it is so cool to see you expanding your craft, keep up the good spooky work!
