About This Video:
On this winter solo hike with an overnight stay, I make snowshoes from scrap materials in the woods.
✅ BUSHCRAFT DUGOUT START to FINSH 👉 • 30 Days How I Alone 🌲 ...
I brew tea from chaga on a folding stove. I use spruce resin as fuel. Later I organize a natural shelter under the uprooted root of a fallen tree. I make a bow saw from a spruce branch and preparing a taiga fire - nodya.
For dinner I make field bread and meat in bacon.
I am try my first attempts to learn how to play the jew's harp (or khomus?).

This is amazing work. But what people may not realize is the extremely hard work of filming it all. Camera setup. Filming a movie. Then you go back to pick up your camera and clean myself up again. And then edit it all together. I myself have recently started making videos about bushcraft, so I really understand how hard it is. A beautifully made video shows that you really love what you do. It's all recreation. I think his protectiveness of his camera gear shows in the many shots without gloves. He'd probably be wearing gloves in more shots, except he needs bare hands to start and stop the camera and possibly protect it, between shots. Most of my times in similar settings, the time fiddling with camera would be time hunting or fishing.

When I’m finally able to watch something on Netflix after a long day, I pause my show before it starts then get sucked in to watching these vids. Next thing you know, it’s been 3 hours and gotta get to bed. Oh well lol.

@@AsbjornOlsenBergBushcraft и то, и другое 😊 Такая съемка расширяет зону видимости для зрителя, а значит, зритель становится даже ближе в каком-то смысле, усиливается эффект присутствия в зимнем лесу)) P.S. У меня всегда возникает много вопросов по ходу видео: «-Ого! Да это же шкура волка, не иначе! И где он ее взял? Сам ходил на охоту и свежевал? Не знаю… А сильно ли руки мерзнут без перчаток? Мокрый снег голыми руками.. И где он научился такой изобретательности на природе?» и всё в таком духе 😅 Может быть стоит сделать рубрику вопрос/ответ или что-то около того?

Winter is a magical and fabulous time of the year, the whole natural world froze in a deep sleep. The cold forest sleeps, covered with a white fur coat, you can’t hear the animals, they hide in their minks, they wait out the long winter, only a few go out to hunt. Only wind and snowstorm, eternal companions of winter.

I agree, winter is a good season. Not far from the camp I saw fresh tracks of an elk and a fox. I didn't even hear them :)

@@AsbjornOlsenBergBushcraft Today I posted a video where I showed a fox hole. I know if this is a male, I saw him personally. He's pretty big for a fox. In winter, animal tracks are clearly visible and this makes the forest even more interesting.

Been lamenting that, at 77+ years, I no longer have the mobility to do this. But, I do have a large back yard! This winter, will dig out the old beaver pelt gloves and mukluks, and give it a try. Snow can be a great insulator.

My opinion is that making a movie about a movie is superfluous. When a person knows how a movie is made, the movie itself ceases to be interesting. You have a very good connection - plot, acting and of course shooting on R6. This is your uniqueness. If everyone shoots in the same way, the uniqueness will be lost. In general, "my respect" continue in the same spirit ...

오늘의 숲속 영상도 매우 아름답고 고요하네요🥰 오래된 주전자에 버섯이나 야생베리들 혹은 허브등으로 끓이는 차. 직접만든 컵에 따라 마시기 ㅎㅎ 오늘은 침낭이나 바람을 막지 않은 상태에서... 와우 춥진 않았을까요? 물론 커다란 장작불이 있었지만 말이죠. 그래도 평화로워보이는 오늘영상도 잘 보구갑니다. 행복하시길~~~^^

I really enjoyed it since I was forced to spend a night in the woods when the weather went south while hunting in NH in the 70’s! I had a space blanket small stove and some tea and engery bars. Spent the night under a spruce tree covered in snow but dry under the tree.It was a long night but I am here to talk about it. I love his knife. Sharp little bugger.

One thing I learned the HARD way was to only use the finer parts of the pine brows; man, those heavier limbs will get ya in the night. Miss doing this kinda thing. This man is a nomad.

In Korea, there is also a traditional item called "Seolpi", which is very similar. It seems that our ancestors had the same idea to walk on snow

Piece of art. Soothing and relaxing. Makes you appreciate civilization but also makes you want to venture what it is like and what it takes to go back in time and face the fierce nature just to be able to sleep warm for one cold night. Humans are truly gifted to have come that far and coexist with the rough forces of nature. Great job!

Видео на столько вторично, что я даже перестал их различать. Все сняты по одному и тому же сценарию. Там будет обязательно: какая нибудь шкура животного, ну или швейцарская брезентовая плащ-палатка. Нам покажут крупно какой нибудь нож, потом соберут лучковую пилу, могут продемонстрировать кованный топор ( опционально ), ОБЯЗАТЕЛЬНО БУДЕТ ДЕРЕВЯННАЯ САМОДЕЛЬНАЯ ПЛОШКА, ну и куча клише с готовкой и приемом, а так же самим набором пищи. Эти видео сняты по одному сценарию, который сложился у наших европейских коллег. Такие видео сняты на великолепные камеры, на несколько камер, отлично выверенные кадры, приятная атмосфера. Это прекрасные, художественные фильмы. Ну не думаете же вы, что человек, прошедший пятнаху по лесу, будет бегать расставлять камеры, снимая свои проходы. Потом бегать снимать камеры, или что он все это тащит всю ту же пятнаху на себе. Художественный фильм. Тут вообще квадрик использовался. Порадовал способ использования шведской печки для сухого горючего в качестве щепочницы. Шведское министерство обороны при этом ощутимо вздрогнуло, такого они точно не ожидали.

I've just started watching. What a beautiful world you show us. Will think about video showing us "how you do it" - at the moment, like an earlier comment - while I understand as a former film director and editor, generally how you work - it is your incredible art that should remain your truth,, let all just appreciate the magic of your work.

Incredible talent, Sir. My father told me never to use a 'root wall' of a fallen tree as shelter because he had a friend, who did and the tree stood back up as he was sleeping & crushed him, to death. Personally, I cannot understand how this could happen BUT my dad is an old mountain man so I've decided to take heed. LOVE your videos, btw.

Thanks a lot! Yes, I have read a lot about such cases. Therefore, before making such a shelter, I made sure that the tree did not rot from the root, it was whole. Even its branches were still green. I think this is an important fact. By all the laws of physics, such a tree cannot stand back up. Perhaps in your father's story there was a tree with a very large root system?! Or maybe we do not know all the laws :) In any case, my tree was frozen in the snow and absolutely motionless.

@@AsbjornOlsenBergBushcraft We're in N Pennsylvania,US and I'm guessing that perhaps, the accident happened on a steeper mountainside where the tree fell backwards and then snapped back upright. Regardless, we're learning a lot from your videos. You've taught me that I don't know jack about wilderness survival even tho, I thought I did!
