A 2nd tarp on the Windward side, erected like a wall, would help you limit some of the gusting wind & rain through the campsite. I Enjoy watching your videos! Keep up the challenge in inclement weather !!

Whoa. I thought that wind was going to take you away like Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz. I am not a camper so I don’t know the feasibility of this idea, but can you bring an extra tarp to put your chair and feet on so that all the mud and water are underneath that? Happy Boxing Day!

Another great video showcasing the wonderful world of the South Island of New Zealand. Well done I remember this trip well especially rain the run off on the tarp. Kinda see what you meant by the carabiners and line locks for the tarp! Am waiting till the storms pass and it warms up a tad in the Uk. You'd be ok haha, I am playing serious catch up. You practice knots then come to do them outside n you forget.😂

I just love watching you guys. You nut. How can you sit there and grin. lol Glad to see Victoria "had some sense" and stayed home this trip. Your certainly dedicated man. Hubby and I never did this type of camping. We did "glamping" with a trailer. lol But curious about your tarp. With heavy wind like that, wouldn't it be safer and better to have it down really low so the wind couldn't life it so much? Just curious. Great video tho.

Hi and thanks for your videos! A quick question! At the beginning of the video you mentioned how noisy it was. With a different material tarp, lets sag light canvas, it would be a little heavier to carry in but a lot less noisy once camp it set up!

Love your videos but cannot understand why you ruin all your food with ketchup. Those burgers needed lettuce, tomato, white onions grilled in the pan and some brown mustard. BBQ, A1 or hickory sauce would have worked as well.
