The rule is, that whoever starts overtaking based on the actual driving conditions is at fault, providing, that you did everything to stay on the same track you stood when he started the overtaking maneuver. It is logical also, if he decides based on his knowledge, capability and road conditions, that he can make it and it turns out he cannot, then that is his fault. If he doesn't start the maneuver, there is no accident.

Hi. In Germany, anti-slip mats are mandatory, and the load in the truck must be secured in the front and at the back also. The police don't really forgive you if you don't do that. I hope that soon there will be more giga-liner trucks on the streets of Germany, also. I envy you for these beautiful combinations 😁 Cheers 🍻

Hej Mate. The driver from Global Logistic is a little bit crazy. With a two axle truck and not so heavy weight... If the police catch him speeding, it will be expensive. Checks have been massively stepped up, especially in the far north. Don't let the ice road truckers hear that, they have the most dangerous job of all 😉Not everyone can drive straight ahead at 25 km/h 🙈😎 But that shows you the differences in Europe when it comes to load securing. If you were checked by police like this in Germany, the journey would be over! A lot of things are exaggerated here and it's always difficult to explain this to shippers when you're loading in Scandinavia. But anyone who often loads to Germany knows this by now, head shaking included 😂

Depends on the exact point of contact. I believe that if for example you touch trailers while his back end of the trailer is beyond the half of your trailer, is your responsibility. But if you touch before that point, his back of the trailer being bofore the middle of your trailer, then its his responsibility. But like you said the insurance companies might just say 50-50 because its difficult to determine unless you have it on tape of course or the damaged points are a clear evidence of where trailers exactly hit

Just to know. In Finland police will give you a ticket because of the straps on the truck. You have to make sure that load can't go forward. So you have to put straps also in front of the load. Trailer is ok, because load is "leaning" to frontwall of the trailer. That Ekeri strap system is different... personally i don't like it 😂

If you doing 85 km/h in this condition and the person is not happy enough with that, so he starts to put pressure on you and causes stress by flashing lights, and tailgating, and eventually starts that risky maneuver, I say is definitely HIS fault. By the way again a great video. Also I'd like to ask you what you think about the new 17 litre Volvo FH 16 with 780 hp? I think the performance awesome, but looks weird a bit. I guess Scania answer for that will be S/R 800.

My company doesn't pay more for winter driving. They will pay us extra though if we have to shutdown because roads to bad to continue. Awesome video as always

Btw, have you check EU's strap lashing guides? That 4 strap straight top over your truck cargo is not lashing at all, when counting by newer rules. (I know that will hold your load in place... your truck will be in ditch or something before your lashing breaks at winter) But here's small tip for you: Use "spring lashing". Authorities will count multiple times more front stopping force for spring lashing than top-over.

Har Svenska lastbilar CB radio ? Ser en curving sak som hänger (kabel) till höger on ratten :) Do the Swedish trucks have CBs ? See a round about something hanging (cord?) to the right of the steering wheel :) His fault of course. Speed kills !.

If you make a full brake i don't think the wood is going to be at his place in the first section of the truck. No anti rubber matts and i think 4 straps are too less but i don't know tge weight exactly. Or what is your opinion?

Man måste alltid tänka ett steg före och göra en bedömning (är det säkert att göra en omkörning) i förhållande till hastighet och utrymme. Så länge du ser ditt körfält och håller dig inom det så är han ansvarig för skadan (då han tar en risk) och inte kan se sin körfält.

The overtaking vehicle is always responsible to ensure the safety while overtaking. Overtaking in such road conditions is ridiculously dangerous and actually pretty dumb.

It depends if its ruled that you went over to his side its 100% your fault and while he is overtaking no matter what you must maintain your speed but you know that. If he turns in early or there is ice and one of you go into each other no matter who goes where its the fault of the driver overtaking. So you are at fault if you swerve into him intentionally

Sry for bad english 😂😆 he is guilty, first of all, in Sweden the limit for vehicles with a trailer is 80 km/h, you drive 85 - 6 km/h approx. 90 - 6 km/h 84 problem for him 2500 sec 😁 secondly, the road conditions are very bad, he drives dangerously. The police should take away his driving license and he should start riding a bike.
