There are 2 national parks on the Spanish Pyrenees side. This time we went to Monte Perdido, which is part of the Pyrenees-Monte Perdido World Heritage Site. The drive from Barcelona takes approximately 3.5 hours. The Parador de Bielsa Hotel where we stayed is the only hotel in the Pineta Valley, the monte Perdido is right in front of the hotel. The starting points of many classic trails are here, which is very convenient for hiking.
The first day's route "Camino de la Cascada la Larri": from Parador to Llanos de la larri. The entire route goes up along the La Larri waterfall until the pains, the river bed here is made of brick-red rocks, which is very unique. The whole round trip is about 9 kilometers, with 422M elevation gain, takes at least 3 hours to complete.
The second day's route "Camino Marboré": from Parador to Cascada del Cinca. The first part of the route is the same as the first day, and the second part goes up to Rio Cinca, through a beech forest, until you reach the Cinca Falls. The whole round trip is about 9.5 kilometers, with a drop of 437M, and it also takes at least 3 hours to complete.
