Wonderful - this is a Masterpice. And finally, there is an upcoming new release from them this year, Wintersun TIME II. I've already preordered and can't wait. The drummer is, I guess you already know, Kai Hahto from Nightwish. The bassist is also from Nightwish nowadays, Jukka Koskinen.

I have played drums since I was ten and I am 73 now. Kai Hahto is quite simply a brother from another planet because earthlings cannot play drums like this. That was almost a constant blast beat with double bass for most of the first part of the song. And Kai is ambidextrous; he can switch between right hand dominant and left hand dominant and that takes talent and a lifetime of work. Oh yes the rest of the group is just as awesome. I think Nightwish is kind of a vacation for Kai because he really is not called upon to play like this.

Fun fact is that he came up with the drum parts mostly himself, because he thought it would be fun. So it's not Jari making him do this, it's all his own doing. 😆

The wait is finally over! Glad you enjoyed it :D Their names: Jari: Lead Vocals/Guitar - He started Wintersun as a solo project initially, he did everything except the drums himself for the first record Kai: Drums - Was brought in for the recording of the first album, currently also playing with Nightwish Teemu: Guitar/Backing Vocals - Probably the cleanest guitar player I know of, currently also playing with Megadeth since a few months Jukka: Bass/Backing Vocals - His low growls on the backing vocal really stand out here! Currently also playing with Nightwish This song is from the Time I album, released in 2012. Originally the entire Time album was supposed to be released in 2006, but after delaying it for 6 yers, they decided to split it into two parts because of technical constraints. This year, Time II will finally be coming out. I had honestly given up on that ever happening! But I couldn't be more excited.

The drummer Kai Hahto is from my hometown and he is the most down to earth person in a real life. Happy and humble.

A hidden gem, after "Time". Kai gets a bit warm indoors, needing a towel, although he looks so relaxed and calm, with a grin, a fusillade of sound. In some shots, you can see that he is facing the guitars :) A young Jukka Koskinen on Bass, I hope Tuomas uses his deep voice on the Nightwish new album... The Middle Eastern, Persian, or Turkish rugs, to absord the reflective floor sounds. Lulu comments about the hair too? Jari going back and forth between demon and clean vocals. Ooh, the harmonies! Then screamy "We are the Sons of Winter and Stars"! Hard panning left and right. The guitar duet, oooh. That was exhausting!

The singer, Jari, was in a band called Ensiferum before he founded Wintersun: "Ensiferum - Little Dreamer". Another great Finnish drummer would be Sami Kuoppamäki: "Kingston Wall - With My Mind (Live) (Video)". Late Petri Walli singing and playing guitar. Another great guitarist, late Alexi Laiho, was often regarded as the leading name of Finnish Metal: "Children Of Bodom - Downfall(live)".

You should listen to more winter sun Lulu MoMA and grandma. Of all the musicians you've reacted to so far on your chanel I've never seen such all of you so enthusiastic from their videos it brings joy and happiness you reacting to my favorite symphonic band from Finland. I would recommend more winter sun such as land of snow and sorrow video. Also loneliness song the forest seasons album. Oh and also take a listen to winter suns warning video featuring only jari and his guitar. By the way the Kathy the mom is very cute ❤️

Just so you all know, Wintersun is currently crowdfunding their next album, Time II, on Indiegogo. The album will be out in August and, like Time I, the album has been in production since 2006. Clips are available on their KZfaq channel. I'm sure it'll be a banger!

I miss this kind of honest natural content ❤ glad to have found it. I would recommend Land of snow and sorrow from the same album. But if you two find time to listen to the whole thing in one go its a blast. Usually i lay on the couch with dim lights and just fly away hehe Many thanks ❤

Wintersun is one of my two favorite Bands of all Time, the other Band is „Eluveitie“, i would recommend to listen to „Aidus“, i am sure you’ll Love it 😊

Interesting factoid: Jari (the lead vocalist and founder of Wintersun) lost a large part of one lung due to tuberculosis he contracted while fulfilling his military service.

Finnish - Metal at its best...With ´Hauntingly - skillful´ musicianship. Kai Hahto on "sticks and kicks" rushes the rhythm like There´s No Tomorrow!!! 🥁 Nicely, and ´bravely´ done ladies to take this group under your observation... 🤘😎💙🎶

My problem with Wintersun is that I don't like harsh vocals, except when used just for highlights. If this was an instrumental (or more of the vocals were like the middle section) I would love it because they are insanely talented, but my personal taste stops me listening to this much. Glad you enjoyed it, though - and remember, boys can be pretty too!
