THis is so beautiful !!!! THAnks so much for sharing..... we here in south Mississippi hardly EVER get snow... I know it was really beautiful in the mountains..... family went to Gatlinburg, PF area day after Christmas and got to play in the snow... they loved it !!! THanks again for sharing....

We were in Burnsville early January at Alberts Lodge. We went to find snow and got a lot of it. The kids were so happy!

Nice lil video MMM. Looks like you have a little more snow than we got here but prettier in the mountains. Them clouds in the distance looked like they could have been bringing some more.

Nice video MMM! Thanks for the map, always appreciated. Beautiful area! Toss some flat cardboard in your trunk ( doesn’t take up much room) for those unexpected snow hills for sledding ❄️☃️ be safe and well.

That was a fun little video.❄ I was just about to go get my Rand McNally Atlas to see where in the heck you were when you flashed that map on there and I was able to freeze the screen see where you were. Plus, I learned a new word today, ad-hoc video, had to Google that one. LoL😊

When it comes to snow in Western North Carolina is depends on how the storm is coming in to how much snow an area gets. There has been many times where I be driving and it be snowing like crazy and less then a mile down the snow no sign on snow.

That's the truth Dan for sure about the snow. I've noticed to the west and north get it the most with the foothills and southern Blue Ridge getting it less often. The nice thing is you don't have to go far to find it in the winter. Thanks for watching!

Where in North Carolina is it snowing currently we want to take a trip to see snow we originally were going to Gatlinburg but kids want to see snow

I'm not aware of it currently snowing anywhere today in North Carolina or Tennessee, however there may be some snow remaining at the higher elevations where it's colder. Temps to start this week are supposed to be in the 60's around Asheville (and Gatlinburg) so no snow around here. Places above 3,500-4,500' might (and not really sure) still have some ground snow. Places like Mt. Mitchell or Clingmans Dome above 6,000' may still have snow, but not sure if roads up there are open this time of the year. Unfortunately snow is hit or miss around here as technically it's still the south and much of the winter is mild. Check online to the higher mountains as most will have reports if it's snowing. You can always go to a ski resort that makes snow and do snow tubing or something fun too. Hope you all still have a great trip and thanks for watching!
